Andrew Walker’s Real-Life Christmas Is Even More Heartwarming Than His Hallmark Movies

Hallmark star Andrew Walker has starred in numerous Christmas movies over the years, including two this season. While on-screen, Walker’s characters often find themselves in over their heads with romance or family chaos, that isn’t what he strives to experience in his personal life. Off-screen, Walker and his family go about the holidays a bit differently.

Walker recently opened up about his family’s traditions, and what he shared will likely have fans swooning.

For Andrew Walker & His Family, Christmas Is About Family & Giving

Walker spoke with Swagger about his family’s priorities during the holiday season. He noted that every year, they travel to Montreal, Canada, to celebrate with their extended family.

“We go back every single year. We spend time with everyone; we just nest, and we eat and drink and be merry.”

The extended family includes grandparents as well as great-grandparents, Walker noted.

In addition to spending quality time with family, Walker shared that it’s important to his family that they incorporate activities that help others.

He explained, “Most Christmases, we try to get the kids out there to work with charity organizations, food drives, and stuff like that.”

The Hallmark Star Raved Over His Latest Co-Stars & Movies

This season, Hallmark fans had the opportunity to watch Walker in both “She’s Making a List,” with Lacey Chabert, and the third installment of the “Three Wise Men” movies.

“She’s Making a List” was the first time that Walker and Chabert had starred together in a Hallmark movie in nearly a decade, and they loved it. He told Swagger, “Lacey and I work so well together. It felt so easy.”

“It was a dream,” he said of reuniting with Chabert. The two previously starred together in the 2018 Hallmark movie “My Secret Valentine.”

Walker noted that he and Chabert work together quite naturally. In this movie, he noticed that the experience they now bring, in both acting and parenting, compared to their 2018 film, showed.

As for “Three Wisest Men,” finishing that one felt “bittersweet,” Walker admitted.

“I personally think this movie was the best one in the trilogy,” Walker noted. He added, “It’s a little bit of a ‘Christmas Vacation’ vibe—chaotic, funny, and full of family moments.”

Given Walker’s love for his family, it doesn’t hurt that one of his co-stars is actually family. “Tyler Hynes is actually my wife’s cousin,” Walker shared. “It is crazy that we’ve found ourselves in this world together,” he marveled.
