For most women, watching their husband kiss dozens of gorgeous women at work would be cause for divorce. But for Andrew Walker’s wife, it’s a chance to help him improve his craft as a Hallmark star.
During one of Hallmark Channel’s media events for its 25th birthday in early August 2026, Walker and his longtime friend and co-star Nikki DeLoach laughed about how many women he’s kissed as a Hallmark hunk, and how his wife of 14 years, Cassandra Troy, urged him to make a change.
Nikki DeLoach Adorably Says Andrew Walker’s Hallmark Kisses Are ‘Great’
GettyWhile talking with Decider about which fellow stars they’d love to be paired with in future movies, DeLoach — who has starred with Walker in the “Curious Caterer” mystery franchise and multiple rom-coms — told him, “It’s hard for you, you’ve done 40-something movies!”
“I’ve kind of worked with almost every girl here,” he agreed sheepishly, and DeLoach exclaimed, “You’ve kissed us all! It’s not weird at all!”
“Um, someone had to do it, so don’t hate me,” Walker grinned.
DeLoach then recalled how Troy, whom she and many of the Hallmark actresses consider a dear friend, had advised her heartthrob hubby to switch up his technique after so many kissing scenes.
“Cassandra was trying to say to him, ‘Andrew, you’ve just got to change up your kiss — you’re doing the same kiss in every movie,'” DeLoach told Decider, and Walker interjected, “It’s the hand on the cheek!”
Hallmark“Yeah, Cassandra was trying to help him to kiss the girls differently,” DeLoach said, and Walker quipped, “I don’t know, I think what I’m doing works okay.”
DeLoach then adorably winked at the camera and said, “It’s great. I’ve done it eight times.” Laughing, Walker threw up his hands and said, “She said it!”
Andrew Walker Even Put His Hand on Paul Campbell’s Cheek for an Impromptu Smooch
Walker brought up Troy’s suggestion during a panel discussion in November 2025, when EntertainmentNow was covering the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City.
“My wife watched a rough cut of a movie I just did,” he told the packed audience, “and she’s like, ‘You gotta stop putting your hand on her cheek. You gotta stop putting the hand on the cheek.'”
Standing up and leaning forward with his hands at his sides, Walker continued, “I was like, ‘What am I gonna do, babe? What, am I gonna … lean in like this and go for the kiss?’ Like, you can’t keep a hand down below.”
Walker’s “Three Wisest Men” co-star Paul Campbell hilariously interjected, “Trust me, keep a hand on the cheek!”
“Right? Should I keep the hand on the cheek? We should all keep the hand on the cheek?” Walker asked the audience, which roared in approval.
Proving his point that the hand-on-the-cheek move works for all occasions, Walker later surprised Campbell during the panel by grabbing his face and planting a kiss on him (seen in the video above), much to the delight of the crowd.
Walker’s next movie kiss will be with longtime Hallmark pal Erin Cahill, when they star in “Christmas in Blue Dog Valley” this holiday season.
