Here comes the bride — and her daughter, too! Longtime Hallmark star Erin Cahill has been busy filming a new series in which she’ll help adult daughters plan dream weddings for their moms, People first reported on February 4, 2026.
With the working title “Mom’s the Bride,” the limited series is set to debut on Hallmark+ in May, coinciding with Mother’s Day and wedding season — both of which Hallmark knows a little something about.
Hallmark Describes Erin Cahill’s New Show as a ‘Love Letter’ From Daughters to Their Moms
GettyCahill, who’s been married to Welsh singer and musician Paul Freeman since September 2016, will host the six-episode series. According to People, Cahill will help a different woman in each episode as she “plans her mother’s dream wedding,” with the show focusing on their beautiful mother-daughter bond.
Viewers will see Cahill helping them plan the big day, from cake tastings to dress fittings, with the network describing each ceremony as “a love letter from a daughter to her mother.”
Cahill told People, “Getting to host this show and to help bring these dream weddings to life is an honor and a joy. Every moment is infused with the warmth and heart audiences expect from Hallmark, and I can’t wait for viewers to share in these truly unforgettable stories.”
Sharing the news in a social media post, Cahill wrote, “It’s a beautiful show about daughters planning their mother‘s weddings. It touches on the role reversal in life between mothers and daughters and also highlights a second chance of love for the mothers and the entire families.”
“We are still filming, but I have laughed and cried with each one of these special families, and I cannot wait to share this show with you all in May, around Mother’s Day! How perfect is that?! I love our @hallmarkchannel family and the loving stories we tell. So thankful to everyone at @hallmark for inviting me to be part of this special moment in time. 🥰🙏.”

Erin Cahill’s Celebrity Makeup Artist Gushes About Her & New Show
In Cahill’s post about her new series, she also thanked “the entire crew,” including her makeup artist, Kyle Hugo, who has worked with many other Hallmark stars, including Kimberley Sustad, Holland Roden, and Jonathan Bennett. Hugo shared her post in his Instagram Stories and gushed about how much fun he’s had on the set of “Mom’s the Bride.”
He wrote, “SECRETS OUT!! This is the project I’ve been working on for the past few months, and I’m beyond honored to be a part of this TV show. Being surrounded by so much love and getting to hear/be a small part of such beautiful stories in every episode has been truly incredible.”
“Thank you to the entire crew for being so amazing,” Hugo continued. “And an even bigger thank you to @theerincahill for bringing me on and trusting me with your glam (you make it easy). You are an outstanding friend, my love. Seeing you walk in every morning with the biggest smile brings so much joy — not just to me, but to everyone around you. Love you so much.”
Hallmark’s announcement about “Mom’s the Bride” comes the same week Hallmark Channel revealed it’s scaling back its focus on unscripted series, shifting to produce limited series and specials that correlate with special events and occasions.

Love Erin Cahill and all her movies and tv appearances. However, Hallmark is losing what makes it Hallmark and that’s their movies. I can see this type of show on other channels. Along with shows like Finding Mr. Christmas, and that baking show and Laceys show about helping celebrate people. These are shows you can see on other channels. Like the bachelor and Food Network etc. Hallmark movies can only be seen on Hallmark channels. Hallmark has years of movies they could be showing. Instead they create new shows like what’s listed above or show Golden Girls or Gilmore girls. I know I am not alone when I say I am watching less Hallmark because of this. It’s really disappointing and I hope Hallmark goes back to what made them a success.
I agree with you 100%. What really ended me keeping my hallmark cable service is when they took away the “movies” from Hallmark Movies and Mysteries and just made it mysteries – then to add insult to injury the new mystery movies were put on the new Hallmark streaming cable channel. All we get for paying for the Hallmark Mystery Cable channel is the same repeats every 6 to 9 weeks of the same shows. That did it for me, I called and cancelled my Hallmark cable service .
