If you count yourself as one of Lacey Chabert’s many fans, you’re probably just as excited as the rest of us for her upcoming Hallmark holiday film, “She’s Making a List.” The star made a silly Instagram video celebrating her reunion with co-star Andrew Walker. It also featured Cadence Compton, Steve Bacic, and Dax Belanger.
For those of us who want to see something with Chabert now, we don’t need to wait until Christmas. Season 2 of her unscripted show, “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert,” will premiere on September 15 with two new episodes.
The actress returns as executive producer and host. She’s excited to, once again, highlight the accomplishments individuals have made in their communities.
Inside Lacey Chabert’s Inspiring New Series Honoring Local Legends With Parties
“When I heard Hallmark was heading into the unscripted space a few years ago, I thought, ‘I have an idea for a show,” Chabert told the Philadelphia Tribune about the show’s origins. “And then, with the support of the entire creative team, it evolved into this [and] I adore it so much.”
Each episode will honor a new individual(s), with Chabert and her party planners organizing a celebration customized to the recipient. In a Season 1 episode, they celebrated an environmental activist with a rainforest-themed party. In another, they hosted a beachside soiree for a firefighter.
“You know, these are folks who deserve to be recognized and have the spotlight shine on them; they deserve to be honored with this fantastic party,” Chabert explained. “As we organize the party with our fantastic planners, Lisa [Friedman] and Marissa [Lainer], which is such a fun aspect of the show, we get to discover more about them as individuals.”
“This season, in particular, has a component where the heroes describe their stories,” she said. “As a result, we gain a more personal understanding of who they are. You also know what motivated them to pursue assisting people in this field, as well as what their organization stands for.”
Chabert Turned Her Passion for Parties Into a Unique Series
Not having a script to read from was initially challenging for Chabert. However, she’s grown to love it, especially when the “heroes” open up to her.
“I love when I get to interview people,” she said. “While I’m trying to select the food for the theme of the party, I might also have a favorite of our heroes present. “We’re accomplishing two things at once: organizing the party and learning about our hero. By the time I actually meet them at the party, I’m so excited, I have fallen in love with them, I’m their most avid fan.”
“I feel so honored to have the chance to highlight all that they’re doing because they deserve recognition,” Chabert said. “They deserve the moment to hear, ‘We see you, what you’re doing is important.’ I hope it encourages people in real life to celebrate those that deserve to be celebrated in their own life.”
