Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart” star Brooke Shields is currently on a dreamy vacation, and she is giving her fans a peek at how incredible it is.
In a new social media post, Shields revealed she is spending the first year of her 60s embracing new adventures. Part of her latest celebratory adventure included an activity she has always dreamed of trying. She noted it was everything she hoped it would be.
Brooke Shields Tried Glass Blowing in Venice, Italy
On April 17, Shields took to Instagram to share several photos and videos with her fans. The “When Calls the Heart” star explained in the caption, “Continued my 60s celebration of brand new adventures in Venice.” She celebrated her 60th birthday in May 2025.
Shields added, “I’ve always had a little dream of learning glass blowing and it did not disappoint!!”
The first couple of photos in Shields’ post showed her wearing a scarf covering her hair as she smiled and absorbed the culture of Venice surrounding her. The third slide of her post was a collage of several photos taken during the trip.
The montage stretched into the fourth and fifth slides, which also included videos of a man doing some glass blowing. The final short video showed Shields filming as she rode in a gondola, and she briefly turned the camera to herself and made a comical face.
Shields Has Kept Busy Since Filming Her ‘When Calls the Heart’ Episodes
Shields returned for several episodes of “When Calls the Heart” in season 13, reprising her earlier role playing Charlotte Thornton. There don’t appear to be any solid plans to bring Charlotte back in season 14, but Shields has signaled she would be open to it.
Next up for Shields is a new series on Acorn TV titled “You’re Killing Me.” The first episode of the six-episode series debuts on May 18.
She also co-stars with David Spade in a television series titled “Almost Paradise,” which Fox is developing. “Modern Family” writer Danny Zuker is writing “Almost Paradise.” As Deadline noted, it’s described as a cross between “Gilligan’s Island” and Shields’ 1980 movie, “Blue Lagoon.”
Also in the works for Shields is a role in a feature film titled “Quarter.” Deadline announced her casting in February 2024, and the movie is currently in post-production. It also stars Ali Wentworth, Raven-Symone, Breckin Meyer, Eric Roberts, Dot-Marie Jones, and a handful of other familiar faces.
