8:05 p.m. – For tonight, the finalists will each be performing two dances: a ballroom style they chose themselves and a freestyle routine. The finalists will be paired with a former “DWTS” finalist. Adele is paired with Nev Schulman.
Getting Spicy With Gleb
Both Gleb Savchenko and Adele were excited to be partnered together for this routine. Adele is a great dancer, so she got to let it shine while being paired with a professional.
For the judges’ feedback, Kym said Adele, you absolutely nailed it. You are an incredible teacher. Mark said Adele moves like a hooded cobra who is ready to attack. Shirley said she likes that she included Gleb, and they looked like a power couple. She wanted one or two more wow moments.
Teaching Ballroom on ‘DWTS: The Next Pro’
To be a pro dancer on “Dancing With the Stars,” you have to teach ballroom to someone who doesn’t have a clue how to do it. That’s what their task was during Week 6 of this competition.
Adele was partnered with a “DWTS” superfan and had to teach him a tango. She is very intense and no messing around with her, but it pays off in the end.
Her partner seemed very focused. The frame did seem off at times, but this was intense, and I think they looked good together.
For the judges, Mark said it moved; it had dynamics. He appreciated the no-nonsense rehearsals. Shirley said she took risks with the choreography and she loved it. Witney said that was impressive, and she noticed a pro trick by Adele. She said Adele can do the job.
Bringing Everyone to Tears
We were only two weeks into the competition, but Allen Genkin and Adele partnered up and brought everyone to tears. The challenge for the week was storytelling, so they had to tell a story through their dance.
While the story was Allen’s, the dance was perfection. They both did so well together. It was one of my favorites of the season, bringing a tear to my eye.
For the judges, Brandon said beautiful. He got emotional watching it. It was amazing. Mark said Adele, I would be happy to dance with you. Allen, I would be happy to dance next to you. Shirley said the quality of movement from both of them was moving. It was one of the most beautiful things she’s witnessed.
