8:05 p.m. – For tonight, the finalists will each be performing two dances: a ballroom style they chose themselves and a freestyle routine. The finalists will be paired with a former “DWTS” finalist. Selena is paired with Adam Rippon.
Redemption Performance on ‘DWTS: The Next Pro’
During Week 6, Adele had to teach a Quickstep routine to a ballroom novice. The judges weren’t overly impressed.
However, she got a chance to redeem herself during Week 7. She was partnered with Allen Genkin, and they got the Quickstep. They definitely seemed to be moving around the floor more this time for Selena. This was fun and upbeat. I liked the special moments in there too. It was entertaining.
For the judges’ feedback, Shirley said we are one step away from the finale, and they both did well. They have personality. Kym said she was impressed with the musicality they have. Mark said it was bubbly and loved the interpretation of the mood. He loved them both as performers, and they both have charisma and pop.
Letting Loose With Jan
Also during Week 7, Selena was partnered with Jan Ravnik for a Salsa routine. This performance was just too good. That one move where she slowly ticks up is to die for.
I think they paired well together. They had some fun moves in there. Those wow-type moments you want to see. It was fun and entertaining.
For the judges’ feedback, Mark said she nailed the brief. This is exactly what they wanted to see. They cleaned it like commercial dancers. Kym said Selena is a star. It was such clever choreography. Shirley said Selena’s balance is extraordinary. The chemistry was fantastic.
Having Chemistry With Erik
For the Week 4 challenge, it was all about having chemistry with your partner. Selena was paired with Erik Linder, and they took on an Argentine Tango.
Erik was locked in from the beginning. He commanded that stage. He was intense, and it showed in their connection. This was a sexy and spicy routine. I loved it.
For the judges, Shirley said she needed a fan. Jenna said she was speechless. She wants to dance with Erik. She is a little hot here. Mark said what a redemption from last week for Selena. Shirley gives them a standing ovation. That number could be on “Dancing With the Stars” tomorrow.
