‘Holiday Ever After’ Star Proudly Announces ‘Risky’ New Project & Fans Are Intrigued

One of the stars of the upcoming collaboration between Hallmark and Disney just announced her next project. Christy Carlson Romano will make her first Hallmark appearance during the Countdown to Christmas season in “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True.” Now, Carlson Romano reveals, she is embracing a “risky” choice in her next venture.


Christy Carlson Romano Is Releasing a Memoir

On March 24, Carlson Romano took to Instagram to announce that she has written a memoir. “Once Upon a Trainwreck: The Rise and Fall of a Child Star” will be released on October 6. Fans can pre-order the book now.

She shared, “It took me two grueling years to write this memoir. I had to relive my lowest lows, my highest highs, and find the courage to share my most vulnerable moments with you.”

Carlson Romano continued, “It’s risky. It’s honest. It’s the most empowered I’ve ever felt. And I’m so proud to finally share it.”

Fans responded to Carlson Romano’s Instagram announcement with lots of excitement.

Melissa Coulier, who is married to “Full House” alum Dave Coulier, commented, “SO excited about this!!! Your vulnerability will be a light for so many.”

A fan wrote, “Omg I have always admired you, you have been so honest with your fans through your ups and downs, this makes me emotional (the good kind). Congratulations and I can’t wait to order your book and dive in.”


The Book Will Chronicle Carlson Romano’s Journey From ‘Rock Bottom’ to Newfound Resilience

Carlson Romano began acting as a child, first appearing in an episode of “Guiding Light” in 1999. In 2000 she began the role of Ren Stevens in Disney’s “Even Stevens,” and then played Kim Possible in the animated Disney series of the same name.

Simon & Schuster is publishing the memoir. The description of the book teases, “At her peak, she was sixteen years old and starring in two major television shows, ‘Even Stevens’ and ‘Kim Possible,’ and an original movie, ‘Cadet Kelly.'”

“She was Disney’s smart, serious girl next door, a role model who had it all together. But in reality, she was anything but,” the description continues.

The synopsis of Carlson Romano’s memoir adds, “Christy’s existence was dually marked by brilliance and turmoil…After hitting rock bottom in an FBI office, Christy pulls her life back together, reparenting herself to become more resilient than ever.”

The book includes letters Carlson Romano has written to her daughters.The publisher describes the book as “a propulsive and gripping testament to survival, self-discovery, and the pursuit of an authentic life.”
