Daniel Lissing offers fans quite a bit to enjoy in his new movie, “Aussie at Heart.” Along with a rivalry-turned-romance between his character and one played by Rhiannon Fish, viewers get to hear his real-life accent and see what might be the best kiss you’ll see all year on Hallmark.
Of course, when it comes to the notable liplock, you’ll have to watch it for yourself (below) and see if you think it stands out among the rest. But prepare yourself, because it’s definitely a swoon-worthy smooch!
‘The Kiss At the End of This Movie Was Nuts’
In an Instagram post shared by the Deck the Hallmark Podcast, the caption asked, “Did Aussie at Heart contain the kiss of the year for Hallmark? 🤔”
The social media clip that’s included with the post comes from the podcast’s recent episode which can be seen on YouTube, and in which one of the hosts offers his opinion of the movie, saying, “Really great leads. I felt like they had chemistry. The kiss at the end of this movie was nuts…”
Frankly, one of the trio who are discussing the movie during the podcast goes on to state (in the section that can be seen in the video above), “The kiss was not just a kiss. That was a make-out session on TV in front of everybody. A make up and make out. I couldn’t believe it. They went so hard through the whole firework.”
“The director must’ve just been like, ‘Keep going. Keep it going,'” they continued. “That, or it was like, ‘Hey guys, like, we’re out of here. We got it. We’re leaving. Like, you’re done. Stop it.’ I don’t remember seeing one going that hard.”
There’s certainly no doubt that the kiss being mentioned was one to remember. We won’t spoil the story for anyone who hasn’t seen the movie yet, but what we can safely say is that when Nate (Lissing) and Samara (Fish) find their way back together, sparks fly… and we’re not just referring to the fireworks in the sky above them.
Indulge In Daniel Lissing’s Most Romantic Roles
HallmarkWhile Lissing certainly brought a top-notch romantic performance to “Aussie at Heart,” this is far from the first time he’s delivered the kind of acting that left fans adoring him. For instance, just check him out as Mountie Jack Thornton in the first few seasons of “When Calls the Heart.” Although he left the role behind, he was so charming on the show, that fans still want him to return.
That’s not to mention his other Hallmark movies. If you can’t get enough of seeing this particular actor onscreen, then you’ll definitely want to watch 2025’s “Single on the 25th,” which sees him appear as Cooper, a happily unattached man who spends the holidays with his neighbor, played by Lyndsy Fonseca.
There’s also 2024’s “Santa Tell Me” with his former “When Calls the Heart” co-star Erin Krakow, which focuses on a woman who is searching for love with a man (or rather, three men) named Nick. However, she “also finds herself drawn to her charming co-worker, Chris [Lissing], throwing her magical Christmas quest into question,” according to Hallmark.
That’s not to overlook “Christmas Under Construction (2024)” and “A December Bride” (2016), which both co-starred Jessica Lowndes, as well as “Christmas in Love” (2018) with Brooke D’Orsay.
