While fans no longer get to see Daniel Lissing on “When Calls the Heart,” they’re surely excited to check out his new Hallmark movie, “Aussie at Heart.”
They’ll also be thrilled to find out that we’ve just gotten a glimpse at his onscreen romance with Rhiannon Fish, thanks to a preview and sneak peek of the love story that takes us down under.
HallmarkPremiering Saturday, August 15, at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central), and streaming the next day on Hallmark+, the new movie will introduce us to Samara (Fish), a former lawyer who now works as an event planner. She happens to reunite with Nate (Lissing), who is not only her ex-coworker, but also her rival. Naturally, this provides just the right amount of delightful drama to the story.
Of course, the two don’t just briefly run into each other, but find themselves having to team up in order to plan an anniversary event that takes place in Queensland. While doing so, they not only “begin to confront their past,” but also “fall for each other,” according to Hallmark.
Sound like the kind of movie that you want to watch? Of course it does! That’s why you’ll definitely want to check out both the preview of the story below as well as a sneak peek of Samara and Nate tackling a special task in an absolutely dreamy location.

In the newly released preview of “Aussie at Heart” from Hallmark, fans get to see sunny weather, gorgeous locations and, as you might expect, the charming chemistry between Lissing and Fish. That’s not to mention finding out how Fish’s character, Samara, ends up in Australia in the first place.
Indeed, along with what the preview notes is an “unforgettable destination” and an “unexpected reunion,” we are told that when Samara and Nate knew each other in the past, “things ended badly between” them — which he admits and to which she replies, “Whose fault is that?” …We’re gonna go ahead and assume it was his fault.
However, as one of the other characters notes, Samara and Nate “have something, even if they’re both too stubborn to admit it.”
That’s why the two end up discovering that they share an “undeniable love.” Or, at least, that’s what the preview leads us to believe, and what fans are likely excited to see from this new romantic movie.
Don’t Miss the ‘Aussie at Heart’ Sneak Peek
Along with the preview of “Aussie at Heart,” Hallmark also shared a sneak peek at the upcoming movie.
In the short but interest-piquing clip, fans can see as Samara and Nate stand on a beach together, which he says is a place where his parents often brought him when he was young. He then points to a spot in the distance to show Samara a reef, and OMG the scenery is stunning!
Although we’re sure that the duo could have spent their day simply enjoying the view, they actually have a task to complete. They’re there to bury treasure and that’s just what they do, even crossing a couple of sticks and leaving them on top of where they hid the treasure box so that “X marks the spot.”
Watch the sneak peek and you’ll find out that it’s hard to decide what’s more adorable — the pair’s interactions, Fish’s braids or Lissing’s accent.
