Jonathan Bennett is proving once again that comedy may be just as much his thing as Hallmark romance.
The actor recently had fans laughing out loud after sharing a playful, over-the-top Instagram video featuring his husband, Jaymes Vaughan, in what turned into a hilarious mini soap opera centered around a car.

The couple teamed up for a comedic ad promoting Nissan, leaning fully into melodrama as Bennett dramatically stormed out of the house wearing a pink tracksuit and wig while carrying suitcases.
“Our @NissanUSA Armada is the real star of this micro drama,” the caption read. “With all these features you can’t blame her for taking it in the end.”
The skit kicked off with Vaughan questioning Bennett’s dramatic exit.
“Wait where are you going,” Vaughan asked as Bennett headed toward the driveway.
“I’m moving on,” Bennett replied with full theatrical flair.
“With my car?” Vaughan quickly shot back as Bennett approached the Nissan Armada.
“Our car, our car,” Bennett corrected before turning back dramatically and adding, “Well not anymore,” complete with a dramatic hair flip.
The exchange only became more absurd from there.
As Vaughan argued that Bennett couldn’t take the vehicle, Bennett insisted he absolutely could — all while seamlessly dropping references to the SUV’s features into the argument.
The video then escalated into full comedy territory when viewers learned Vaughan’s character had apparently been cheating.
Bennett soon reappeared dressed in yet another wig as the dramatic love triangle unfolded.
The trio traded exaggerated insults and accusations before the skit wrapped with Bennett driving away in the Nissan, victorious.

After dating for several years, Bennett and Vaughan got engaged in November 2020 before tying the knot in March 2022 during a wedding in Mexico surrounded by loved ones.
Looking back on the ceremony, Bennett described the experience as something straight out of one of his own feel-good films.
“We kept having to stop and remind ourselves that we weren’t on a movie set, but this was actually our real life,” he told People. “If you had told me this was one of my Hallmark movie sets, I would have believed it. It was that perfect.”
