Two days after Kelley Wolf, the estranged wife of Hallmark fan favorite and “Party of Five” alum Scott Wolf, was arrested at the Utah home where she was staying, multiple outlets reported on August 28, 2025, that there’s renewed hope she will receive the help she needs to thrive again.
Fans, friends and family members had grown increasingly concerned about Kelley’s well-being since the couple first announced their split on June 10, following 21 years of marriage. The former MTV reality star has since been placed under two involuntary holds but struggled to follow court orders upon release, ignoring a social media gag order and boundaries set around communication with and about Scott and their kids.
According to documents from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office obtained by People on August 28, a judge set her bail at $5,000 and required her to “participate in inpatient or outpatient medical, behavior, psychological, or psychiatric treatment.” The outlet later reported that Kelley was released from custody before 4 p.m.
Police Say Kelley Wolf’s Arrest Occurred After She Leaked Scott Wolf’s Phone Number on Social Media
After Kelley posted a slew of alarming Instagram Stories and posts on August 26, Us Weekly reported, Scott called police in Summit County, where their family lives, after one of the posts included his phone number.
According to the police report obtained by Us Weekly, Scott received over 24 calls and texts from unknown numbers within minutes of Kelley posting his contact information via an Instagram Story in which she referred to him as “dimples.”
In the post, reviewed by EntertainmentNow, Kelley wrote, “I am a great tv producer and reality star but I suck at technology…I hate people and phones. Let’s let dimples field his own press? Right? This old heffer needs a hug. And some steak!! And a night out!” She then directed “all press inquiries” to his number.
Two hours later, Kelley wrote another Instagram Story, alerting her followers that “the police are my house to arrest me,” noting that she had “no idea why.”
On August 28, People reported that Kelley had been formally charged with two class B misdemeanors for electronic disclosure of personal identifying information and electronic communications harassment.
Us Weekly reported that the responding officer requested in the police report that Kelley “be held until she can be seen by a judge as well as a mental health professional,” adding that the family was “extremely concerned about her mental health.”
The officer also wrote, per Us Weekly, “It is believed by family and law enforcement that her illegal and harassing behavior will continue if she is released.”
Judge Has Forbidden Kelley Wolf From Posting on Social Media Once She is Released
GettyAccording to People, the judge told Kelley that upon her release, she is not to “consume any alcohol or narcotic drug or other controlled substance unless prescribed by a licensed medical practitioner.”
In addition to participating in “inpatient or outpatient medical, behavior, psychological, or psychiatric treatment,” per People, Kelley was ordered to “avoid contact with witnesses who may testify regarding the offenses.”
Kelley’s pretrial release conditions, People reported, also forbid her from posting on social media until another court order lifts that ban.
Scott Wolf Continues to Have Sole Custody of Their Children
As Kelley navigates the road to recovery, Scott will maintain temporary sole physical custody of their kids — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11. In a revised agreement filed on August 22, according to People, the judge upheld that decision.
Scott was first awarded custody as well as a restraining order in June, following Kelley’s first involuntary hold. That decision was upheld in July, per People, giving Kelley “liberal” supervised parenting time if coordinated through proper channels.
The August 22 agreement, according to People, included a new requirement that each of the couple’s children have a “safe-harbor therapist,” which means neither parent can “interfere with or inquire into the content of the therapeutic process.” They’re also prohibited from subpoenaing any information from the therapist in future litigation, the outlet said.
The agreement states that the family’s goal, per People, continues to be for “Kelley to eventually regain unsupervised parenting time.”
