Scott Wolf Drops Restraining Order, Signaling Progress With Estranged Wife Kelley Wolf

In a promising sign that “Doc” star and Hallmark fan-favorite Scott Wolf is feeling hopeful about his estranged wife Kelley Wolf’s progress while undergoing mental health treatment, the actor dropped his restraining order against her, People first reported on December 3, 2025.

During a hearing on December 3, per People, a Utah judge dismissed all protective orders against Kelley, 49, after an oral request to do so was made by Scott, 57. “The case was then dismissed,” People reported, “and any protective orders issued have been declared null and void.”

It’s a positive sign after months of legal proceedings and concerning updates from Kelley, which began after she announced in early June that she and Scott were separating after 21 years together. Days later, she was placed in an involuntary hold at a Utah hospital.

After her release, Scott was granted his first temporary restraining order against Kelley on June 25. The situation continued to spiral over the next two months, leading up to Kelley’s arrest on August 26 for doxxing friends and family members, including posting Scott’s personal phone number and screenshots of communication with their kids.

Kelley was charged with three misdemeanors — one count of electronic communications harassment and two counts of electronic disclosure of personal identifying information — and another restraining order was filed against her. Days later, she was charged with another misdemeanor for violating that order.

Kelley Wolf Was Ordered to Receive Psychiatric Treatment in September

Kelley continued to struggle in September, especially after her lawyer requested that she no longer represent the “Real World: New Orleans” alum. On September 21, Kelley was admitted to a Utah mental health hospital after making threats to her and Scott’s safety, according to People.

Multiple sources told the outlet that Kelley, who’s worked as a life coach and motivational author, underwent an interview and mental health examination five days later, which prompted a judge to issue “a court-ordered minimum 60-day involuntary psychiatric hold” and required her to take prescribed medication while there to help stabilize her.

In the meantime, Scott has stayed mostly quiet about his family’s chaotic few months, but did share a sweet photo of Kelley for her birthday on October 14, wishing her a happy birthday. The “A Merry Scottish Christmas” star has also filmed new episodes of FOX’s “Doc,” with his return to the series slated for January 6.

Kelley, meanwhile, has deleted nearly all of the social media posts she made since early June, including her announcement about her separation from Scott. She has posted a handful of Instagram Stories over the last few weeks, including a selfie on November 15 in which she looked bright-eyed in a red baseball cap and denim jacket, simply writing over the photo, “Hi.”
