Fans of home renovation television are convinced they’ve spotted clues that prove “Beer Budget Reno” was quietly renewed for a second season.
Was ‘Beer Budget Reno’ Renewed?
While not an HGTV series, HGTV fans took to social media to share why they believe the beloved A&E series was renewed.
“Just came across a casting link while looking up an episode, so it looks like ‘Beer Budget Reno’ might be getting another season,” one fan shared via Reddit on Friday, January 16. “I watched the first season in a weekend after seeing a post here and found some ideas that were actually affordable.”
Followers of the thread were thrilled with the revelation.
“That would be awesome!!!!” one fan wrote.
“Yay! So well deserved. Such a good show, and they do such incredible work for the modest budgets. A lot more realistic and achievable for everyday people. Kristen and her team deserve so much more love and exposure,” a second commented.
“Yay. I love that show. That’s def in my top 10. Also a big fan of ‘Rentovation,'” another added. “Both shows demonstrate that big things can happen with a small budget.”
“It is great to see a realistic budget being used instead of these massive renovations seen on almost everything else,” a third wrote.
What Is ‘Beer Budget Reno’?
“Beer Budget Reno” premiered in April 2025. Host Kristen Coutts tackles home renovations with “champagne taste on a beer budget.”
“I left my corporate and started a business,” she said in the trailer for season 1. “I’ve gotta stay on time and on budget.”
According to the network’s description, “Everyone dreams of a home makeover, but budgets often get in the way. Enter Kristen Coutts, who specializes in life-changing renovations for those told they can’t afford them. Armed with clever, cost-saving hacks, she transforms outdated spaces into fresh, functional homes—proving no budget is too small for a stunning upgrade.”
Fans can catch up on season 1 on Hulu, Disney+ and AETV.
Is ‘Beer Budget Reno’ Casting for Season 2?
While a second season has not been confirmed by the network or the production company, Home Network, an open casting call was shared via Facebook in December.
“Ready to stretch every last dollar and make your home look like a million bucks?” the listing read. “With Kristen Coutts’ signature money-saving hacks and keen eye for design, this is the home transformation show for those of us whose reno dreams exceed our reno budget.”
The ad specifically states that filming will take place in the Greater Toronto Area in “Spring/Summer 2026.”
