Mariah Carey’s Twins Are All Grown Up in New Family Photos

‘Queen of Christmas’ Mariah Carey gave fans a rare glimpse into life with her teenage twins, and this time, the family moment came courtesy of her son. Moroccan Cannon shared a casual mirror selfie with his mom and twin sister Monroe Cannon on Instagram on Wednesday, September 9. The 15-year-olds appeared relaxed beside Carey, 57, who smiled for the camera while Monroe snapped the photo. Moroccan kept his caption just as low-key, writing simply, “on a lark.”

The 15-year-olds appeared relaxed beside Carey, 57, who smiled for the camera while Monroe snapped the photo. Moroccan kept his caption just as low-key, writing simply, “on a lark.”

The grainy mirror shot captured an everyday moment between the Grammy winner and her children.

In another photo shared on Thursday, September 10, Moroccan shared another playful photo-booth strip of his iconic mom making silly faces and Monroe against a starry “Arte Museum” backdrop.

Carey has generally kept her children’s lives relatively private, though she occasionally brings them along for public appearances and performances.

As the twins have gotten older, the “We Belong Together” singer has also spoken proudly about the talents and interests they are developing.

The singer shares twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-husband Nick Cannon. The siblings, affectionately known as Roc and Roe or “Dem Babies,” turn 15 on April 30, 2026.

Carey has previously joked that raising the pair keeps her on her toes. “They’re a lot, but they give me so much love in return. I wouldn’t be the same person without them,” Carey previously told People.

She also credited Cannon, from whom she split in 2015, with helping maintain a positive co-parenting relationship. “I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk,” she said.

What Has Mariah Carey Said About Her Twins’ Talents?

In another interview, the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer told E! News that both children showed plenty of creativity at a young age. “Rocky is a technical genius,” she said in December 2022. “He could do anything he wanted, and I will support him. He and Roe are both such creative geniuses”

Music has also become something the three can share. “Honestly, their tone when they sing is so beautiful, and I’m so thankful that they inherited that from me,” Carey said. “I can’t wait to see what and who they grow up to be!”

Have Moroccan and Monroe Performed With Their Mom?

The twins have occasionally joined their famous mother in the spotlight.

Moroccan and Monroe made a surprise appearance during Carey’s performance at the 2022 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, giving fans a glimpse of their own comfort onstage.

Carey said she lets the twins decide when they want to participate.

“When they want to be involved and feel like it will be something fun, they show up, attend rehearsals, and get really into it,” she said. “It’s such a joy to be able to watch them when they’re fully engaged, relating to their other friends—many of whom are aspiring singers or dancers who weren’t born into the entertainment world.”

What Does Mariah Carey Want Her Kids to Learn?

Despite growing up with two famous parents, Carey has said she wants Moroccan and Monroe to understand the value of effort.

“I think it’s important that they learn these lessons because I grew up without that privilege and they need to understand that it is so important to try your hardest and do your best,” she said.

For Carey, watching the twins discover who they want to become remains one of the most rewarding parts of motherhood. “It’s one of my greatest honors to watch them shine.”
