Mariah Carey is not only musical, but she’s also incredibly fashionable. Indeed, the adored singer and past advisor on “The Voice” showed off her savvy style sense once again when she showed up to the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year event on Friday, January 30, while wearing a chic sheer dress.

GettyA black gown that included a corset-like bodysuit, the item featured extra fabric that wrapped around Carey’s shoulders and came together in a rose detail on the front of her chest. Of course, it was the see-through nature of the fabric — which also boasted flower designs on the translucent material — that was the most striking part of the piece.
Carey opted to wear her long hair down for the event while popping on a few bracelets, a stunning necklace and lengthy earrings that were all made up of diamonds.
Fans Fawned Over Mariah’s Look
When Just Jared shared photos of Carey’s latest look on Instagram, social media users who also appear to be fans of the singer wanted to make it clear that they loved what they were seeing.
“She looks good!!!!🔥🔥🔥,” one person wrote.
Another fan wrote, “Queen Mariah 👑🦋”
“Timeless beauty,” came from a third IG user.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “Her smile is the cutest thing ever man she’s so beautiful (THAT BODY IS BODYING!) 😮💨🙏”
Mariah Was Honored for Her ‘Incredible Musical Legacy’ & More
When Carey appeared at the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 30, she was there to be honored for both her music and her impact on those whom she has helped.
“MusiCares has named five-time GRAMMY winner and 2024 Recording Academy Global Impact Award honoree Mariah Carey as the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year,” according to the MusiCares website. “Carey, one of the most celebrated voices in music, will be honored for her extraordinary career as well as her long-standing commitment to supporting communities and people in need.”
