Could a surprising new romance be brewing in Port Charles?
“General Hospital” fans are no strangers to unexpected pairings, but one potential couple has viewers making their feelings very clear. After Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson questioned whether there could be chemistry between two characters, fans quickly weighed in, and many weren’t exactly enthusiastic about the possibility.
However, while viewers may not be feeling the sparks between these two, some think one “GH” star could have chemistry with just about anyone.

Are Michael and Jordan the Next ‘General Hospital’ Romance?
“GH” stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson took to their Stone Cold and the Jackal social media pages to pose a potential new Port Charles romance to fans.
The duo wrote, “CHEMISTRY TEST: Are We The Only Ones Who See Sparks When Michael And Jordan Are Together?”
Fans quickly made it clear that many of them weren’t seeing the same sparks.
“No chemistry there, wipe your glasses,” one fan wrote.
“Oh dear Lord – NO, None,” another added.
Another fan simply wrote, “Oh gawwwwwd NO!”
One viewer questioned the potential pairing, writing, “No not at all. I don’t care about age difference but why are they trying to make Jordan seem younger? Are we supposed to forget that she has a son that’s probably Michael’s age”
‘General Hospital’ Fans Still Want Michael With Someone Else
While many “General Hospital” fans weren’t interested in seeing Michael and Jordan together, some made it clear they would rather see him reunite with another former love interest.
“NO. NO. NO. BRING JACINDA BACK,” one fan wrote.
Another agreed, writing, “Loved him with Jacinda.”
After Jacinda drugged his ex-wife, Willow Cain, and put his kids’ lives in jeopardy, Michael paid his then-girlfriend to leave town.
However, fans also made it clear they don’t want Michael to return to “Wicked Willow,” especially given that she tried to frame Michael for the attempted murder of her current husband and Michael’s uncle, Drew Cain.
As one “General Hospital” fan wrote, “I’m fine with Michael being with anyone but Willow.”
‘General Hospital’ Fans Think the New Michael Has Chemistry With Everyone
While “General Hospital” fans may not agree on who Michael should be paired with next, some viewers think the actor currently portraying him might be able to make just about any pairing work.
“New Michael has chemistry with everyone,” one fan joked.
Another added, “Rory has chemistry with a piece of paper.”
Rory Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos in May 2025. Gibson took over the role from Chad Duell, who portrayed Michael for 15 years before his exit in January 2025.
While Rory Gibson’s Michael seems to have chemistry with just about all of his scene partners, it looks like fans are already giving a potential Michael and Jordan pairing a hard no.
Only time will tell who the writing team will have Michael paired up with next, but one thing is for sure: he never seems to stay single for too long.
