HGTV is constantly looking for homeowners in need of a renovation. Whether it be an outdated design, a failed renovation project in need of saving, or a search for the perfect new home, the network has tackled it all.
With no signs of slowing down, HGTV is currently casting for multiple shows, including at least five fan-favorites.
‘Fixer to Fabulous’
Jenny and Dave Marrs are currently wrapping up filming for season 8 of their hit reno series. However, it appears HGTV may have quietly renewed the Arkansas-based series for a ninth season as they are currently searching for homeowners.
“Calling all Bentonville, Arkansas families: Do you live in an older home that needs some love? HGTV is looking for homeowners in the area with plans to renovate!”
In order to be eligible, homeowners must live within 30 minutes of Benton County, Arkansas with a renovation budget of more than $120,000.
‘Ugliest House in America’
Hosted by Alison Victoria and Retta, the competition series “Ugliest House in America” helps homeowners across the country with botched renovations.
“Do you live in the wildest, ugliest and most unbelievably weird home in town? Does your house feature clashing patterns, a confusing layout, strange add-ons or design choices that just don’t make sense?” the network announced.
The search listing makes it clear that the uglier the better in this case.
“We’re not looking for simple fixes — we want the most outlandish, head-scratching homes in America,” the listing reads.
Winners receive a $150,000 renovation to take their space from “ugliest” to “most beautiful.”
‘Zillow Gone Wild’
What started as a viral Instagram account, turned into a viral HGTV series hosted by Jack McBrayer.
“The network is looking for bold, one-of-a-kind, fantastical homes that have recently been listed or bought,” HGTV announced. Currently in its third season, it seems the network is preparing for a fourth season.
‘Property Brothers’
The iconic twins have become a fixture on HGTV over the last decade. With multiple shows, it’s safe to assume there is always at least one in development.
Currently, HGTV is searching for homeowners for an undisclosed “Property Brothers” project in the Los Angeles area.
“We’re open to projects of varying sizes, from an open concept overhaul to smaller reno scopes that utilize the home’s existing layout. It’s about maximizing budgets and working smarter, not harder,” the listing states. “Don’t miss the chance to transform your home with the help of experts. We’re looking for engaging personalities who are excited to work with Drew, Jonathan and their team.”
The main requirements include having a renovation project of $150,000 and being willing to move out of the home for eight to 10 weeks during renovation.
‘My Lottery Dream Home’
A fan-favorite, David Bromstad appears to be returning to HGTV for a 21st season of his hit series, “My Lottery Dream Home.”
One main requirement to be eligible for the series is winning the lottery.
“Did you recently win the lottery and purchase the home of your dreams? Or are you currently looking for a new home and need a little assistance from an expert? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you’re in the right place!” the network shared.
If this is you, Bromstad wants to take you on a home search with your lottery winnings.
“Will they splurge on an extravagant mansion, keep it simple with a modest home close to family, or choose that vacation property they’ve always dreamed of?” the listing continues.
