“Flip or Flop” alum Christina Haack has done a lot of reflecting over the past year, including hiring a life coach. The mother of three opened up about how it has positively impacted her relationship with her children.
“I’m totally at peace. I’m just really grateful, and everything makes me excited now,” Haack, 42, told Us Weekly in an interview published Thursday, October 16. “I just appreciate the small moments. I appreciate being in the present.”
She continued, “I’ve always been very, very close with my kids, but I feel more grounded and less anxious. It’s just so much better for them in general.”
Through the changes she’s made in herself, Haack acknowledged that she’s “better, more present, more grounded.”
Christina Haack Turned to Tarek El Moussa
Haack and ex-husband Josh Hall announced their separation amid filming the first season of their HGTV series, “The Flip Off.”
According to the “Christina on the Coast” star, she knew she “had to discuss the breakup” on camera.
She previously explained in an interview with People that it was first husband and “The Flip Off” costar Tarek El Moussa who encouraged her to leave Hall.
“I just felt like him and I have been through so much since we entered this TV world together and separated,” Haack told Us Weekly on Thursday of El Moussa. “We’ve both dealt with a lot, and we’ve both come a long way. I just really wanted to turn it back to what really mattered, and it was our friendship, our history on TV together and how we’ve been able to work through so much stuff being thrown at us.”
Christina Haack Found Peace After a Major Life Change
The California native’s life coach has become a staple in her life and taught her to hold herself accountable, Haack explained.
“I’m definitely part of the problem, and I’m still working through things and still working through my own anxieties, but it was just really having a lot of self-reflection,” she told Us Weekly. “I call it awareness.”
Hours after the deeply personal interview was published, Haack took to Instagram to share 10 lessons she’s learned along the way.
“What a difference a year makes,” she captioned a photo with boyfriend Christopher Larocca. “Never EVER give up. Right when you think you’ll never recover life can bless you and literally turn everything around.”
Some of her life lessons include, “Never betray your intuition,” “Never be scared to say NO,” “Spend the money to hire the best people,” and “Hire a coach who will call you out on your [expletive].”
