Egypt Sherrod on Rebuilding Yourself: ‘Don’t Rush It’
On March 19, Sherrod took to Instagram with a message about rebuilding yourself, comparing it to home building and design.
“Rebuilding yourself is design,” she noted in the caption.
“You are both the architect and the structure,” Sherrod noted. “Every belief you keep is a material. Every habit is a blueprint line. Every boundary is load-bearing. And every decision either reinforces your foundation, or weakens it.”
Sherrod continued, “Nothing about who you become is accidental. So if you’re in that in-between phase, the tearing down, the rebuilding, the questioning … don’t rush it. Sit with it. Study it. Shape it.”
“Because one day, you’ll look at your life and realize that you didn’t just rebuild yourself … You designed someone stronger, wiser, and entirely your own,” she added.
Fans lit up the comments section, sharing how much they love Sherrod’s message.
“And you’re looking fabulous doing it!” one fan noted.
Another fan wrote, “I miss your show. I watched all four seasons five times. I hope you are coming back to TV someday soon.”
“You need to write a book!” one fan suggested.
Others noted, “Wow … I’m feeling what you’re preaching here lately” and “Me too! I love self discovery and I am so very grateful you are sharing yours.”
“Yesssss🙌🏻👏🏻thank you for the reminder,” another fan wrote.
One fan commented. “Amen. Between you and your husband, you both have been speaking to me. Thank you so much.”
Mike Jackson Opens Up About Marriage
On March 19, Sherrod’s husband, Mike Jackson, took to Instagram to share a message about marriage.
“Love, and marriage are not meant to stay still; they are living, breathing journeys that stretch, and shape two people over time,” he wrote in the caption.
Jackson continued, “As seasons change, so do the ways we give, take action, receive, and understand love. What begins as passion evolves into patience, grace, and intentional commitment. Keeping God at the center and inviting Him into your marriage through prayer creates a foundation that steadies you when emotions waver and life becomes challenging.”
“Growth in marriage means learning each other over and over, again and again, choosing forgiveness over pride, and evolving not just as individuals, but as a unified team guided by faith,” he noted.
The “Married to Real Estate” star added, “It is in the intentional, quiet adjustments, transparency, the honest conversations, and the moments spent seeking God together that love matures into something enduring, rooted not just in feeling, but in purpose, strengthened by Gods presence.”
