HGTV Star’s Vegan Recipes Have Fans Obsessed

Heather Rae El Moussa is giving fans a candid look at her daily routine—starting with what’s on her plate.

The HGTV star took to Instagram on, Tuesday, April 14 to break down her full day of meals, offering a glimpse into how she fuels her busy life as a mom and business owner.

In the caption, she explained why she decided to share the details.

“One of my most asked questions! Here’s an example of what I eat in a day. If you’re vegan, drop your go-to meal below so we can all try something new!” she wrote.


What She Eats in a Day

The post featured a carousel of images, beginning with a snapshot of her workspace.

Overlaying the photo were the words: “What I eat in a day as a busy mom + business owner: vegan edition (+ low gluten & soy).”

Her day starts early.

Around 7:30 a.m., she keeps things simple with a GoMacro bar, which she enjoys alongside her child.

By 8:00 a.m., she moves into a more substantial breakfast—building a rice cake topped with Bitchin’ sauce, avocado, vegan mozzarella, hemp hearts, and everything bagel seasoning.

She pairs it with a cup of Pique breakfast black tea mixed with vanilla almond milk, along with her daily vitamins.

By mid-morning, she’s reaching for another quick bite.

Around 9:45 a.m., she opts for a cinnamon rice cake layered with almond butter, banana, honey, and cinnamon—balancing convenience with flavor.

Later, she shared a selfie holding a Zevia energy drink, calling it her “guilty pleasure.” 

While it’s not an everyday habit, she admitted she enjoys it occasionally.

At 11:00 a.m., she transitions to something more filling: a plant-based scramble made with Just Egg and peppers, paired with cauliflower patties.

Lunch keeps the fresh, nutrient-packed theme going.

Her midday meal includes a salad loaded with lettuce, plant-based chicken, vegan mozzarella, croutons, hemp hearts, avocado, truffle oil, and vegan Caesar dressing.

Dinner rounds out the day with a hearty grain bowl featuring a plant-based burger, quinoa, potatoes, carrots, kale, and avocado—offering a balanced mix of protein, carbs, and healthy fats.
