Jenn Todryk Tackles Conspiracy Theories — and Shares What She Really Believes

Jenn Todryk doesn’t like conspiracy theories. Or fiction novels. And she dislikes them for the same reason.

In the latest episode of her her podcast “You, Me & Mike” with husband Mike Todryk, the HGTV designer says, “I get mad that we spend so much time talking about something that’s probably not real… Talking about conspiracies is like how I feel about reading fiction books. That aren’t true stories. I’m like ‘why are we telling this fake story?’ Tell me something that’s real!”

Nevertheless, she says her husband picked the topic, so she will play along.

But Mike starts out talking about aliens and videos of possible UFOs and Jenn quickly gets frustrated with the topic, saying, “What if the video’s just straight up made on a Hollywood screen somewhere and they feed it and it’s all this b.s.?”

Jenn Todryk Believes In Angels

While she may not be interested in aliens, Jenn Todryk says she does believe in angels.

“I believe in a spiritual realm,” she tells her husband. “But I don’t think that’s classified as an alien. I think that’s a spirit.”

Jenn tells the story of her cousin Ryan being in a terrible car accident. She says the car flipped upside down, “and a lady appears out of nowhere. And sits with her the entire time until the ambulances come. Ryan asked them where the lady was. And they said ‘m’am when we came there was no one here, you were by yourself.’ Freaky!”

Third Podcast Moves Away From Intensely Personal First Two Episodes

While the third episode of season two of her podcast focused on conspiracies, Jenn Todryk spent the first two on much more personal topics.

In the second podcast, Jenn admitted that with her HGTV show “No Demo Reno” on indefinite pause for the past two years, she is struggling to define herself.

Jenn related that when one of her kids had a playdate, one of the moms asked her, “So, what do you do.”

“Well, I have a weird job,” Jenn related. “Like I don’t know.. I’m actually am in a weird spot where I don’t know what to lead with. I walked away from that conversation and I was like ‘I have a weird job, I have a platform on social media that I accidently created, and it’s created a whole full-time career. It’s amazing and it’s so fun and it’s creative.”

Jenn says she feels like people will think she’s weird when she tries to explain what she does.

“I guess I just, whenever I get asked that and I’m in a room of nurses and a dermatologist and an analyst and I’m like ‘I make Instagram reels..’ but once they like, recognize, then it’s not weird,” she laughed.
