Joanna Gaines’ New Life as a Barbie Makes Her Want to Dance

Joanna Gaines is living every 8-year-old girl’s dream of becoming a Barbie, and it’s getting her in touch with her inner child.

The former HGTV star posted a video on Instagram spinning around with her new Joanna Gaines Barbie, with the caption, “I had to do it ๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ›ผ”

Joanna collaborated with Mattel and her “Hearth and Hand” line at Target to create not only a Barbie in her likeness, but also her very own Barbie pink dream house.

And fans are loving the collab and seeing it bring out the little girl in the Magnolia mogul.

“Thinking of your little girl self – if that little girl only knew what was to come!!! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅฐ” commented one.

Another wrote, “Obsessed!!!!! And FINALLY, after all these years, a Barbie resembles me too! ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ”

Joanna Gaines’ Dream House Comes With a Lot of Style

Needless to say, Joanna Gaines’ Barbie had to have a Dream House with a lot of style.

And of course Joanna herself had a hand in the design.

In a press release, the Barbie x Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Townhouse is described as โ€œa three-story playset featuring five play areas and more than 40 accessories including bespoke dรฉcor and furniture pieces that fans can arrange.”

โ€œThe townhouse includes a living room and kitchen, a bedroom and bathroom, elevator and a sundeck thatโ€™s perfect for lounging,โ€ it goes on.

The Joanna Gaines Barbie Comes With Very Personal Touches

When it came to creating a Joanna Gaines Barbie doll, Mattel didn’t just go for a hair and eye color swap on the iconic Barbie.

They got personal.

Jo’s Barbie of course has facial features, hair and makeup modeled after the “Mini Reni” designer. But even her clothes are a nod to the real Joanna.

The doll’s t-shirt reads “1978,” the year Joanna was born. And she sports Joanna’s signature retro look, complete with flare jeans, sunglasses and a flannel shirt tied around her waist. It’s a look “Fixer Upper” fans are very familiar with.

The Joanna Barbie even rocks a pair of pink and green rollerskates. Fans of Joanna Gaines are well aware of her lifelong love of life on wheels.

Chip Gaines Expresses His Pride Over Wife’s Immortalization in Plastic

Joanna Gaines’ husband Chip Gaines was quick to post his pride at Joanna’s new, unique accomplishment.

In an Instagram post showing a picture of Joanna with her new Barbie, Chip wrote, “Joanna is already in a class of her own.. but whenย @barbieย called and asked to make her part of their doll family, I nearly burst with pride. I couldnโ€™t help but think of our daughters, our mothers before us, and the countless little girls who will see themselves in her. You really are the best of us,”

The Joanna Gaines Barbie and her Dream House will hit Target stores December 7, just in time for Christmas.

The doll retails for $35 and the house is $149.99. Both are available for pre-order now here.

But die-hard Joanna fans can get one early. The Gaines’ Magnolia shops in their hometown of Waco, Texas, will start carrying the doll October 23, in time for the annual “Silobration” that brings fans from around the world.
