Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa are tackling their new home’s interior design and one of the most dramatic spaces they’ve completed is Heather Rae’s closet! The HGTV stars gave a tour of the space, showing the transformation from bare bones to gorgeous.
Tarek & Heather Rae El Moussa’s Closet Makeover Is Insane
In June 2025, Tarek and Heather Rae announced that they were moving into a new house. They had plenty of work ahead of them, however, as they planned to put their personal touches on the place.
On September 24, Tarek took to his Instagram Stories to give fans a look at the before and after of their closet space.
They worked with Tailored Closet Orange County to make their dream a reality, as Tarek noted the company “really took the time to understand how Heather and I live.”
The closet space went from drab, with white drawers and cabinets — to dramatic, featuring dark wood and glass doors to obscure their shoes from plain sight.
Tarek also pointed out the lighting in the cabinets and drawers and along the floor.
On September 23, Heather Rae took to Instagram to share a video of the closet transformation.
“Who else loves a good before-and-after? — because this was the closet glow-up we didn’t know we needed, 😳👔,” she wrote in the caption.
The HGTV star noted, “From the first design meeting to the final install, @tailoredclosetoc made the whole process seamless. Every shelf, drawer, and detail was tailored to how we actually live — and now everything has a place (yes, even Tarek’s black shirts & ALL of my heels 😉👠).”
She added, “@tailoredclosetoc , you nailed it 🔨✨.”
In the video, the text explains, “Had to put our own touch on the new primary closet,” as the camera pans to show Heather Rae and Tarek looking at the bare space.
They high-five and the video transitions to their “after” closet look in all its glory, with Heather Rae excitedly jumping up and down.
Fans Share Their Love for the Updated Closet
The HGTV stars’ fans were impressed with the closet makeover, flooding the comments to share how much they’d love a dream closet like this.
“You nailed this one!! 😍 Love those rugs too 👌🏼,” one fan shared.
Another noted, “Love the closet,” and Tarek responded, “Thank you! So happy with how it turned out.”
