Joanna Gaines Announces New Collab That Brings Out Her Inner Child
On September 23, Gaines first teased her new product, only hinting that it had something to do with roller skating.
“I can’t show you what this is,” she teased. “Because you need to be as excited as I am.”
She only provided one clue: “It skates … she skates.”
Many fans guessed it was a Barbie Joanna doll with skates, with the Barbie Instagram account commenting, “We have an idea 💕🛼.”
On September 25, Gaines confirmed the news. “I have a Barbie, y’all!! What a dream this has been to design my own doll and townhouse with the iconic @barbie brand. Six-year-old Jo Jo would be losing her mind 🥹😍 Read all about how it came to be and why I leaned into a distinctly 70s vibe over on the blog.”

The “Magnolia Table” star showed off the mini-Jo on skates, pointing out how they got all of the details just right.
In another Instagram post, Gaines posed with her doll and the townhouse, writing, “What an honor it was to team up with the iconic @barbie to design my own doll and townhouse!”
She added, “Growing up, Barbie always felt to me like this big world of endless possibility and I hope this collaboration carries that spirit forward. 🛼 ✨”
In her blog post, she called the collab an opportunity that was “simply too fun to pass up.” Gaines noted, “This collaboration is like nothing I’ve ever done. It was so fun, and so nostalgic.”
Chip Gaines Celebrates His Wife’s Big Moment
On September 25, Chip Gaines took to Instagram to celebrate his wife’s new collaboration.
“Joanna is already in a class of her own … but when @barbie called and asked to make her part of their doll family, I nearly burst with pride.”
He added, “I couldn’t help but think of our daughters, our mothers before us, and the countless little girls who will see themselves in her. You really are the best of us, @joannagaines ❤️.”
