Sharon Stone knows what she wants from her love life, and she isn’t interested in settling for less. The Oscar-nominated actress opened up about her amorous life during a wide-ranging appearance on “Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown,” revealing that her priorities have changed now that her three sons are grown.
At 68, Stone says she wants a genuine companion and someone she truly cares about. She also made a surprisingly candid admission: despite having experienced love before, she doesn’t believe she has found the “great love” of her life yet.
Sharon Stone’s Love Life Has Entered a New Chapter
Stone’s relationship status came up when Mayim Bialik asked what she is like as a girlfriend. “I’m a really good girlfriend, but I haven’t been a girlfriend in a long time,” Stone said on “Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown.”
The “Basic Instinct” star acknowledged that her romantic experiences haven’t always gone the way she hoped, joking that she has experienced “good luck and bad luck and no luck at all.” But Stone isn’t looking for a relationship simply to change that.
With her sons Roan, 26, Laird, 21, and Quinn, 20, now adults, Stone explained that what she wants from a partner has evolved. She is looking for someone she genuinely cares about and, more importantly, someone who can be her companion.
Stone suggested that being willing to remain single is part of waiting for the relationship she truly wants. “I think that that’s the phase you need to be willing to be in to have the thing that I really want,” she said.
Her latest comments come months after Stone opened up about an unexpected online dating experience. During a May appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Stone revealed that she once encountered someone on a dating app who wasn’t entirely truthful about himself.

Bialik then asked Stone a bigger question: Has she ever experienced the great love of her life? “I have had loves in my life, but I don’t think I’ve had the great love of my life,” Stone replied. But another revelation from the podcast suggests Stone hasn’t ruled out finding it.
During the conversation, Stone recalled meeting a psychic when she was much younger who made several predictions about her future. According to Stone, the woman had previously worked with Tina Turner and predicted that Stone would become extraordinarily famous.
When Stone asked about her romantic future, however, she received a much different prediction. Stone recalled being told that finding her person would take considerably longer than finding professional success. According to the actress, the psychic predicted she wouldn’t meet that person until she was “almost 70.”
The Golden Globe winner said she later consulted another psychic who gave her essentially the same prediction. “Which is now,” Stone observed during the podcast. The story clearly amused Bialik, who jokingly suggested that perhaps she was Stone’s match.
Stone Is Staying True to What She Wants
Stone’s latest remarks also build on things she has previously said about relationships.
In 2022, she told Vogue Arabia about dating a younger man who lost interest after learning she didn’t want to use Botox. Rather than changing herself to keep the relationship, Stone said the experience ultimately showed her that the relationship wasn’t right for her.
That willingness to wait for something more meaningful appears to remain part of Stone’s outlook today.
Her family has also been an important part of this chapter. Stone adopted Roan in 2000 and later welcomed Laird and Quinn. With all three now grown, her comments on “Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown” suggest she has room to think differently about what companionship could look like in the years ahead.
