Another week, another packed primetime lineup on HGTV… and honestly, this one’s doing a little bit of everything. From brand-new episodes you’ll want to watch live to familiar favorites that are perfect for background TV, HGTV’s schedule from January 26 through February 1, 2026 is all about balance. Some nights lean heavy on fresh content, while others are clearly designed for comfort viewing (a.k.a. shows you’ve seen before but still can’t turn off).
GettyWhether you’re here for dramatic transformations, international house-hunting chaos, or just a solid marathon you don’t have to commit brainpower to, this week’s lineup has something worth circling on the calendar. Let’s break it down, night by night, so you know exactly when to tune in; and when it’s totally fine to call it an early night.
Monday, January 26, 2026
Very much a “settle in and don’t think too hard” situation. Monday brings us nothing new here, but if you’re in the mood for renovation comfort and beachy escapism, this lineup understands the assignment.
- 8:00pm ET: “Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers”
- 9:00pm ET – 11:30pm ET: “Cheap A$$ Beach Houses”
Tuesday, January 27, 2026
Tuesday is doing the most; and we see why you’ll want to watch. There’s a mix of new and familiar, with one standout new episode early and another sneaking in later. If you like variety, this is your night.
- 8:00pm ET: “Fixer to Fabulous” (NEW)
- 9:00pm ET: “Farmhouse Facelift”
- 10:00pm ET: “House Hunters International”
- 10:30pm ET: “House Hunters International” (NEW)
- 11:00pm ET & 11:30pm ET: “House Hunters International”
Wednesday, January 28, 2026
Easily one of the strongest nights of the week. Wednesday brings multiple new episodes, zero filler energy, and a lineup that keeps things moving without dragging. If you’re only picking one night to fully commit, this might be it.

Thursday, January 29, 2026
Thursday leans heavily on tried-and-true favorites, but there is a new episode worth staying up for if international real estate is your thing. Otherwise, this is a solid background-TV night.

Why We Love This Lineup
All in all, HGTV’s primetime schedule this week feels like a greatest-hits mix with a few well-placed surprises. Wednesday and Sunday are doing the heavy lifting when it comes to new episodes, while the rest of the week leans into dependable favorites that are easy to dip in and out of.
Watching live? Catching up later? Or just leaving it on while you multitask? Any way you watch, this lineup makes it pretty easy to find something that fits the mood. And let’s be real; even when it’s a rerun, there’s something comforting about knowing HGTV always has a house hunt or renovation waiting for us when we need it.

Way too many reruns on the weekends! All day house hunters, etc. sucks.
Very uninspired week. Only thing worth watching is fixer to fabulous. You had decent shows with the twin gals, the entertaining guys from Detroit, and the old New England Farmhouse duo. Why did you let them go?
Fixer to Fabulous is the only show all week worth watching. David is also good. The rest are trash. Neighborhood Watch has me running to change the channel. It is so bad I don’t even want it running in the background. Who ever is handling programming needs to be fired. In one season, HGTV has gone from fabulous to fixer.
You canceled 75% of the shows worth watching and kept the losers. Fixer to Fabulous and Home Town are the only 2 worth watching all week.
