If you’ve ever dreamed of living on a beachfront property but always felt it was unattainable, HGTV‘s newest series, “Cheap A$$ Beach Houses,” is for you!
“Cheap A$$ Beach Houses” joins the network’s slate of new shows, including “Botched Homes”, “World’s Bargain Dream Homes,” “Hoarding for the Holidays”, and “Property Brothers: Under Pressure.”
“With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” Warner Bros. Discovery chief creative officer of U.S. networks Howard Lee said in a statement in October.
What Is ‘Cheap A$$ Beach Houses’?
“Cheap A$$ Beach Houses” will “humorously show viewers how to own a slice of affordable paradise,” the network explained in a press release.
Getty“Bargain buyers will chase their coastal dreams on realistic budgets, proving you don’t need to break the bank to live the beach life,” HGTV added.
The season will showcase homes in seaside destinations from Fort Myers, Florida, to Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Similar to fan-favorite shows like “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” and “House Hunters,” “Cheap A$$ Beach Houses” is sure to bring viewers laughs as potential buyers reveal their quirks.
When Does ‘Cheap A$$ Beach Houses’ Premiere?
Fans can tune in to the 16-episode season beginning Wednesday, December 3, with back-to-back premiere episodes.
“Married surfers with a love of the outdoors will enlist their real estate agent friend–and fellow surfer brah–to help them score the perfectly priced place in beautiful Virginia Beach,” HGTV revealed. “The husband’s aversion to outdated, hideous fireplaces will challenge the pair to choose their dream home near the shore.”
GettyAfter Virginia Beach, fans will be transported to Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where a couple is hoping to escape the brutal winters of Flint, Michigan.
“Their vivacious realtor will search for the ideal waterfront home at a reasonable price, helping them overcome obstacles like her fear of heights in high-rise properties and his obsession with properly installed electrical outlets,” the press release continued.
“Cheap A$$ Beach Houses” kicks off at 9 p.m. ET/PT (with the second episode airing at 9:30 p.m.). Streaming subscribers can catch the episodes the next day on HBO Max and Discovery+.
