Lucky fans of “The Princess Diaries” got a treat at the first New York City stop of Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Short ‘n Sweet” tour when Anne Hathaway, who unforgettably played Princess Mia of Genovia in the films, showed up in the audience on October 26.
The 42-year-old icon even got a shoutout from Carpenter herself when the popstar pretended to arrest her with a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs. Anne Hathaway waved and blew kisses to her fans as her face was shown on the big screen in a candid moment. Then as sirens blared, the petite bombshell exclaimed, “You’re Anne!” before joking, “Has anyone told you you look like a princess?” Carpenter then teased, “Anne, can I arrest you?”
