Flavor Flav is an icon in the music industry, but he has also long been a champion for women’s sport. His latest action is a testament to that statement, and he has launched a GoFundMe to encourage fans to support the Team USA women’s hockey team after they won gold at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.

GettyFlav wants the female athletes to be celebrated. He will be hosting the She Got Game weekend in Las Vegas from July 16 to July 19. To raise funds, he launched a GoFundMe campaign, asking fans for $130,000. The description on the page reads, “After the United States women’s Olympic hockey team won gold at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Flav took to social media to offer something he called a ‘real celebration’ in Las Vegas. He personally invited the players to dinners, shows, and events to honor their accomplishment in a big way.”
The funds “will go directly to the invited female athletes and support the She Got Game weekend. Your generosity will ensure these athletes are properly celebrated in Las Vegas and receive meaningful financial support for their futures,” the GoFundMe page reads. At present, over $92,000 has been raised in two days, and it looks as though the fund will reach its goal.

Flav also shared the GoFundMe on X on February 26. “Many of y’all asked how you can support and donate to our female athletes and the celebrations. So I created a Go Fund Me. I’m hopeful this can have an impact beyond the weekend and help those that represent the best of the US,” he wrote. The post allowed fans to react, and many responded with supportive comments.
“Yayyyyyy!!!! I’ve been waiting for this!,” a fan wrote. “You were already a hero before, but you, my man, ARE THE MAN!,” another shared.
A third comment reads, “I will be donating thank you for all you do for women sports. I thank you for not only showing love i will never forget you giving money to sponsor teams that needed it when you didn’t have to.”
Flav, who was a guest judge on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, is beloved for championing women’s sports, including the U.S. water polo teams, which he helped raise funds for for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Billboard reports. He also supported the U.S. bobsled and skeleton team at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
