It’s been over a decade since former Disney star Hilary Duff went on tour. But this summer, she’s kicking off an exciting world tour to perform her new music.
The Lucky Me Tour kicks off in Palm Beach, Florida on June 22 and stretches across the globe, ending in Mexico next January. While Hilary Duff is still proud of her older hits, she plans to showcase her music with more adult themes, too.
Above all else, the 38-year-old can’t wait to be on stage again. See what she had to say about the upcoming performances.
Hilary Duff’s Lucky Me Tour Will Take Her All Over the World
GettyIn the early 2000s, Hilary Duff was a household name. Her success on “Lizzie McGuire” opened many doors for the teen. But now, she’s eagerly bringing her new sound to stages all over the world. Audiences in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand will get to experience the tour.
“I’m so excited for the scale to change,” the former Disney star told PEOPLE this week. “There is something so sweet about getting to see everyone’s face, and being so intimate and close with everyone — and it was really a great way for me to start and build confidence — but I just feel like I know what I’m doing and kind of got my reps in.”
“Now I’m ready for more,” Hilary continued. “I’m ready for my set list to change. I’m ready to surprise people with some of the songs that I’m going to be singing and my new music.”
The Pop Singer Expresses Gratitude For the Songs That Made Her Famous
Hilary Duff certainly feels excited about her new music, but she will always hold a special place in her heart for the songs that built her success.
“Let’s go back, back to the beginning … Thank you for continuing to love this song all these years. It’s been so fun growing up with her 🩵 ✨ Come clean (mine) is out now wherever you stream your music!” the singer posted on Instagram recently.
During her mini-tour performances, fans enjoyed hearing Hilary Duff revisit some of her classics while simultaneously promoting her new sound. She’s never been afraid to embrace her roots. Today, the singer knows how important it is to keep the old music alive, too.
“What’s been so fun about the live shows is realizing how much the old songs mean to people,” Hilary shared with PEOPLE. “A lot of those songs just live rent-free in my head, so it’ll be nice for the other music to catch up and join the mix.”
The former child star added that her old fans have been wildly supportive of her new album.
“It’s this very cool way to connect in our lives now — everyone’s grown up, and we feel like we have a lot of the same life experiences,” she shared.
Tickets to Hilary Duff’s Lucky Me tour are now available for purchase on the official website.
