Justin Bieber is officially stepping back onto one of music’s biggest stages.
The Recording Academy confirmed on Jan. 28 that the singer will perform at the 2026 Grammy Awards, marking his first time performing at the ceremony in four years. The Feb. 1 appearance signals a full-circle moment for Bieber, who last took the Grammys stage in 2022 during his “Justice” era and has since kept public performances to a minimum.
Bieber heads into the night with major momentum. His album “SWAG” earned four Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance for “Daisies,” and Best R&B Performance for “YUKON,” according to the Recording Academy, marking one of his strongest showings in years.
The performance follows a prolonged step back from touring after Bieber scaled back due to health issues, including Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which caused partial facial paralysis and led him to cancel the remainder of his Justice World Tour in 2023, per E! News. Since then, he has made only a handful of public appearances, making his Grammys return his most high-profile live moment in years.
A Comeback Fueled by New Music and Renewed Confidence

Bieber’s return to the Grammys arrives amid a renewed creative chapter. In July 2025, he surprise-dropped “SWAG,” his first solo album in more than four years, followed by “SWAG II” in September. The projects were widely seen as deeply personal and helped reintroduce Bieber on his own terms.
According to People, a source close to the singer previously said the album represented a major milestone, noting it was the first solo project he released since becoming a father and one he felt genuinely proud of. The response from fans and peers reportedly helped restore his confidence after years of uncertainty.
The momentum has continued into 2026. Bieber is also slated to headline Coachella this April, a booking that sold out quickly and sparked major fan excitement. While he has admitted that extensive touring still feels daunting, he has said he hopes to be more selective and intentional with performances moving forward.
Hailey Bieber’s Support and a Full-Circle Moment

Behind the scenes, Bieber has had steady support from wife Hailey Bieber. After the Grammy nominations were announced in November, she publicly celebrated the moment on her Instagram Story, writing, “27x nominee! Let’s go baby,” per People.
Earlier reporting from The U.S. Sun also noted that Bieber and Hailey planned to attend the ceremony together, with sources saying the singer was focused on enjoying the night and viewing the moment as a meaningful affirmation after a difficult year.
For Bieber, returning to the Grammys stage represents more than just a performance. It is a statement of resilience, renewal and readiness to step back into the spotlight on his own terms.
The 2026 Grammy Awards will air live Sunday on CBS and Paramount+ beginning at 5 p.m.
