McFly drummer Harry Judd was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, March 10, after injuring his finger during a gardening accident.
He revealed that the accident required stitches in his left pinky finger, posting a few photos on his Instagram story, including one with the caption, “Need to start wearing gloves when gardening. Sat in A&E now. Won’t affect drumming fyi!”
He followed that up, writing “Stitches in. Thanks @nhsenglandldn. Nearly passed out from the massive needle.”
Harry Judd & His Wife Recently Opened Up About Their Child’s Health Condition
Last year, Judd and his wife Izzy emotionally opened up about one of their children who was diagnosed with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
According to the Child Mind Institute, PDA is “a pattern of behavior in which kids go to extremes to ignore or avoid anything they perceive as a demand. It is seen most often in people diagnosed with autism.”
And during an October 2025 episode of Dr Alex George’s Stompcast podcast, Izzy spoke out about this condition.
“It’s basically about demands that are put on a child who, underneath the demand, has a lot of anxiety,” she said (transcribed by Manchester Evening News). From the moment a child wakes up in the morning, they are being told to eat their breakfast, get dressed, brush your teeth. And all these anxieties are forming in them – that people are putting pressure and demands on them. They don’t respond to authority or hierarchy. They want autonomy, they want to be in control.”
She also revealed that she dealt with judgement as there are “quite rigid societal expectations of how children are supposed to behave.”
“Initially, I felt the judgment really heavily,” Izzy explained about how their parenting style has had to change. “You have to go through a kind of grief process, that things aren’t going to be as you thought they would be… To the outsider looking in, they might see that as a sort of lazy parenting or a lack of discipline, or whatever it is they want to say.”
The couple shares three children: daughter Lola Rose (9), and sons Kit (8) and Lockie (4).
Harry Judd’s Career

Judd rose to fame in 2003 when appearing in Busted’s music video for their hit song, “Crashed the Wedding.” Shortly after, he joined McFly as their drummer and their debut album took off, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart.
In 2005, Judd and McFly won the 2005 Brit Award for Best British Pop Act.
Over the years, the band has continued to thrive, while Judd has also won the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing and published his book “Get Fit Get Happy” in 2017. Then in 2023, he competed in “Celebrity Race Across the World” with his mother, Emma, where they came in second place.
