Country superstar Riley Green showed his toughness after being hit in the head by a cell phone during his show in Melbourne, Australia.
A fan threw their cell phone on stage at the performer, striking him on the side of his face. Green was left bleeding from his ear, forcing the show to pause for a brief time. According to Billboard, “the fan responsible was immediately removed from the venue.”
Riley Green Was Seen Bleeding on Stage
Green was able to make light of the situation despite blood dripping down his face.
“Thank you to each and every one of you for coming out tonight,” he said after the incident.
Crew members quickly rushed to his aid, wiping up the dripping blood with a towel.
“Wait a minute, am I bleeding?” Green asked. “Y’all see how tough I am?”
Following the show, the “Worst Way” artist took to social media to address the situation, where he again made light of the injury.
“Ole buddy bout ran outta anytime minutes last night… but a hell of a time was had,” he captioned a series of photos from the concert. Green added the hashtags, “we out here,” “Australia,” “Melbourne,” “just text me next time,” and “cash me outside how bout dat.”
The photo dump included several images of the bloody moment. One snap from backstage showed Green drinking water as blood dripped from his ear lobe, down the front of his chest and onto the collar of his shirt.
It’s unclear whether the “There Was This Girl” singer required additional medical attention after the show.
