David Alejandro Peláez Marín, otherwise known by his social media handle Alejo Little, has died at the age of 33. A popular Colombian influencer who lived with a form of skeletal dysplasia, he championed awareness of the condition and showcased how it did not hold him back from doing the things he loved.

The death of Marín was announced by his friend and fellow social media content creator Carlos Feria. Writing on Instagram last week, Feria said, “Today I woke up to some bad news, and it’s that a friend of mine passed away.” He accompanied the post with a caption that reads, “Wasted my time and I regret it.”
No further information was given about the death of Marín, who was 33 when he died, but he has not been as active on social media in recent weeks. The influencer had a rare genetic condition that is a form of skeletal dysplasia that affected how bones and other body parts grow and form together. The result was that Marín was less than three feet tall.
His final social media post came on March 2 when he posted a video to TikTok of him drinking from a glass while using what appears to be an oxygen tank. The caption reads, “When you’ve already hit rock bottom but you’re tired of so much fixing things and you long to find a float on the surface that will finally save you.”
Prior to that, he had made an Instagram post in February. In the caption, he wrote, “I thought my birthday was going to be different but nope. I only ask life to be able to be me again, to find meaning to my days again and that my mind is healthy to continue.”
He continued, “I give thanks to God. He is my support network, the ideal one, the very one who is saving me right now.”
Fans and Fellow Influencers Pay Tribute to Alejo Little
Since news of his death has emerged, fans and other influencers have returned to his final Instagram post to pay tribute to the content creator.
One wrote,“The important things are the moments lived, you should be resting in peace.”
“Rest in peace Alejito. You were a great example of life,” wrote another commentator.
A third user paid tribute, writing, “Rest in peace my friend. You were a wonderful person on this earth, and I know you’ll continue to be an amazing being in heaven.”
Another fan said, “Fly high my beautiful boy.”
