Blake Lively, who has largely kept her four children out of the public eye, offered a rare glimpse of their family life in a series of photographs posted to Instagram on Friday, August 7. The photos were taken July 29 at Yankee Stadium, where Wrexham AFC, the soccer club co-owned by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, faced Liverpool FC in a preseason match. Lively, 38, shared candid scenes of the couple with their children, friends and longtime supporters of the Welsh club.

Liverpool came away with a 1-0 win off a late goal, but Lively’s post made clear the score wasn’t really the point.

Lively called watching Wrexham take on Liverpool at Yankee Stadium “one of the most surreal moments of this wild and beautiful ride,” a nod to just how far the club has come since Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney took it over.
She also thanked the friends, family and fellow Wrexham supporters who showed up to cheer, and had a warm word for Aroch specifically, writing that “there’s no better gift than having great memories with your loved ones captured.”
Reynolds has co-owned Wrexham AFC since 2020, an investment that helped turn a small Welsh football club into an international story and inspired the hit docuseries “Welcome to Wrexham.”
Seeing the team play a marquee match on American soil, at Yankee Stadium no less, marked a milestone moment for the club and clearly meant something personal to the family watching from the stands.

Her footwear changed as the day went on. After arriving in Christian Louboutin heels, she traded them for Nike sneakers, a switch captured near the end of the carousel. Reynolds, 49, kept his look simple in a plaid shirt, beige pants and white sneakers.
The Reynolds Family Keeps It Private
Lively and Reynolds have been married since 2012 and have spent more than a decade building a life together while keeping their children largely out of the public eye. The couple shares daughters James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6, along with son Olin, 3, who they welcomed quietly in 2023.
Full family photos like this weekend’s are rare for the couple, though glimpses of their bond regularly surface in smaller, playful moments online.
This past Father’s Day, Lively celebrated Reynolds by calling him the “father of all of my favorite children.” For Lively, this latest post wasn’t really about the match at all. It was a thank-you, aimed at the people and the memories that made the day worth holding on to.
