“Baywatch” icon David Hasselhoff sparked concern among fans after being spotted looking frail and using a walker.
The actor, 73, was photographed during a day out with his wife, Hayley Roberts, 45, in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
In the photos shared by the Daily Mail, Hasselhoff kept things simple in a casual sweater and baseball cap. He was seen slowly making his way to the parking lot with the help of a walker, accompanied by his wife.
Earlier this month, Hasselhoff’s representative confirmed to the outlet that the actor has undergone knee and hip replacement surgery.
Fans Worry About David Hasselhoff
Previously, David Hasselhoff was seen on a nature hike with his wife, using trekking poles for support. At the time, the “Young and the Restless” alum seemed to require some assistance from his wife, who, at one point, appeared to steady him by placing her hands on his sides.
Last July, Hasselhoff was also spotted limping through an airport, revealing his plans for knee surgery. He was later seen being pushed in a wheelchair by an airline worker.
Following his latest outing, fans expressed concern for the actor in the comments, with many wishing him a speedy recovery.
One fan wrote, “PRAYERS for David’s strengthened health.”
Another commented, “Always think of him as this big beefy healthy guy, sad to see him look so pale and frail.”
Someone added, “This is really scary. Just like that, anybody can go from being in good health one day to having a very serious health crisis the next day.”
David Hasselhoff Eyes Major Comeback, Says Source
Meanwhile, an insider told the Daily Mail that David Hasselhoff is recovering and eyeing a major comeback, particularly in the “Baywatch” reboot.
“He is rehabbing and wants to get back to doing a few acting gigs, and he wants to do more music,” the source told the outlet. “And once he gets better and back to 100 percent, he intends to hit the ground running as one of his goals is to be on ‘Baywatch’ again.”
The insider added that Hasselhoff “would love to make another appearance on the show, and getting better will get him there.”
Hasselhoff is reportedly eager to lend his support and help ensure the “Baywatch” reboot succeeds. The source added that he loves seeing the iconic series return and hopes it captures the same magic as the original.
As for his recovery, the source noted the adjustment Hasselhoff is going through.
“For a man who has always been fit and very active and in shape, his recent surgeries have kicked his ass a bit more than he expected,” the insider continued. “He’s healing, and being outside is a relief and the perfect remedy for his current shortcomings.”
David Hasselhoff starred as the heroic lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on “Baywatch” from 1989 to 2000. Some of the projects he’s been on include “The Young and the Restless,” “Knight Rider,” “DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story,” “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie,” “Piranha 3DD,” “America’s Got Talent,” and “Britain’s Got Talent.”
