Actress Tori Spelling has mentioned the late Patrick Muldoon in a touching birthday tribute to her late father, film and television producer and occasional actor, Aaron. Muldoon sadly passed away following a heart attack on April 19, at the age of 57.
Spelling and Muldoon dated briefly in the 1990s. While they shared credits on the likes of “Saved by the Bell” and “Melrose Place” early on in the decade, their only shared screen time came in the 1996 television movie “Deadly Pursuits.”
Per IMDb, the movie’s plot is as follows: “A former stripper (Spelling) befriends a young man (Muldoon) looking for his father, all the while trying to avoid a hitman for the mob, to whom she is deeply in debt.”
Although their romantic relationship didn’t last, they remained close friends. It was a bond that continued until Muldoon’s tragic passing.
Spelling, 52, who had previously shared a touching tribute to Muldoon after news of his death became public, referenced him again a day later in her post about her dad.
Tori Spelling’s Dad and Patrick Muldoon ‘Loved Each Other So Much’
In a post about her late father on Thursday, April 23, Tori Spelling included six photographs. Her father is in all of them, while she is in five of them, at various ages, ranging from being a baby to being a young woman.
Writing on the post, she wished her dad a happy heavenly birthday, before mentioning his relationship with Patrick Muldoon.
Spelling’s caption on the post begins, “The Man . The Myth . The Legend . MY DAD.”
The caption continues, “Happy Birthday Daddy. Been feeling you alot lately energetically. Thank you for guiding @randyspelling and I . We are your legacy and we are stepping into our power✨✨ Love You Forever, Toto xo.”
It concludes, “* My Dad and @thepatrickmuldoon loved each other so much. Hope they are having a cocktail right now together!”
The sentiment behind the post is beautiful, and the thought of Spelling’s father and Muldoon spending time together in the afterlife is undoubtedly a comforting one for the actress.
Incidentally, Aaron Spelling’s production credits include television shows like “Family,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “The Love Boat,” “Hart to Hart,” “Dynasty,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Melrose Place,” “7th Heaven,” and “Charmed” (per IMDb).
