Tori Spelling Opens Up About Grief in Emotional Tribute

In her message, Spelling shared how difficult it was to find the words, describing the moment as one she was not ready to face.

“This post took me a couple days. I wasn’t ready to write because then it felt real. And, this shouldn’t be real,” she wrote.

“Like every other girl in the world, I crushed on his character, Austin, from Days of Our Lives. Not sure I ever disclosed that to him. What I met and ultimately fell in love w/ was not just a beautiful on the outside creature but the most beautiful soul.”

Her words reflected both the shock of the loss and the deep admiration she carried for Muldoon, remembering not just his presence on screen but the person she came to know off it.

A Relationship That Grew Into a Lasting Friendship

Spelling and Muldoon dated in the 1990s and later remained close friends, a bond that continued well beyond their romantic relationship.

She described him as someone who brought joy and warmth to those around him.

“[Patrick] was multi-talented. Passionate about everything he did. And, he had a knack for making others smile & brought absolute joy to everyone that was blessed to be in his orbit. A true gift,” she continued.

“We shared a love of Broncos, guitars, goofing off, playing tag, and Grease! Loved to belt out Grease. I was Sandy to his Danny! That’s us singing & dancing in 1st pic! 1995 my 22nd birthday.”

‘He Was Special and One of a Kind’

Spelling also shared how Muldoon always showed up for the people he loved, especially during moments that mattered most.

“He always showed up. And, he was a true hype man 4 those he cared about. He was a huge part of my formative 20’s. We went on to be good friends! Still laughing & always caring,” she wrote. “Decades later, I found him to be such a true friend/hype man when I was going through my divorce. He would call and check on me and send me the worst jokes to make me laugh. He loved it when I rolled my eyes. Now I miss those stupid jokes.”

Looking back on their bond, she described it as something rare and deeply personal, built on humor, understanding, and shared memories.

“He was special and one of a kind. The kindest, most caring human w/ raddest weird sense of humor,” she added, before continuing, “We got each other! Laughed a lot! I laughed w/him and at him, and he loved it. We called each other F—face 😂. That was us!”

Tributes Continue From Friends and Loved Ones

Muldoon’s sudden and shocking passing has been met with an outpouring of love from those who knew him, highlighting the deep connections he built over the years.

“We met in our first acting class,” she shared.
