Jackée Harry on Seeing Herself After Surgery: ‘I See Me’
“I see me. It was instant,” the former “227” star told “Entertainment Tonight” on Thursday, January 22. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’mma be cute.’”
She added that the change wasn’t drastic and that people who see her now “don’t say anything” about her new look.
“They call it snatched,” Harry continued. “Nuh huh. I’m yanked.”
What a Deep Plane Facelift Involves
A deep plane facelift is a surgical technique that works on deeper layers of the face rather than just tightening the skin. According to the National Institute of Health, the procedure lifts and repositions underlying facial tissue and muscle, which can help improve sagging in the face and jawline while avoiding the pulled or overly tight look that people sometimes associate with traditional facelifts.
In a previous interview with “Entertainment Tonight” in the fall of 2025, Harry told the outlet that she had been considering the procedure for two years before she finally decided to take the plunge.
“When you constantly want something that bad, you’ve got to do it. And I discovered I wanted it that bad,” the “Sister, Sister” alum explained. “I have no qualms about how old I am or who I am. This helps it. Boosts it. It pushes it forward. So why not?”
According to Harry’s plastic surgeon, Dr. Patrick Davis, the deep plane facelift surgery can last up to four hours and there’s quite a range in cost. The procedure can run anywhere from $40,000 to $250,000.
Harry admitted that her boyfriend, who she said is younger, was initially not thrilled with the idea of her undergoing the cosmetic surgery. She said that he told her she didn’t “need it” and she should “use what God gave [her].”
However, he’s now changed his tune.
“He’s happy for me. My friends are happy for me,” Harry said with a smile before scoffing, “There’s a couple of people going, ‘Don’t do it, don’t do it.’ You do have those naysayers. You know, it’s like, ‘Oh don’t have a big head. Be humble.’ Pshaw.”
The “Days of Our Lives” star also said that she turned to a few celebrities like Ricki Lake and Kris Jenner for inspiration, and while she was “terrified” at first, she was happy with Dr. Davis’ work.
“I’m still me.”
