Jessica Daugirdas, a gorgeous social media influencer with a following of over 90k on Instagram, has passed away after a fight with colorectal cancer, her family announced in a post to her account around January 21, 2026.

People translated the family’s announcement, which was written in Portuguese. The outlet says the statement reads, “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jessica. God, in His infinite wisdom, has taken our warrior to be with Him, after she fought bravely until the end, with strength, faith and courage.”

The statement continues, “In this time of grief, we unite in prayer so that the Lord may comfort the hearts of all family and friends, and that the peace of Christ may sustain each one.” The family then inserted the Bible verse 2 Timothy 4:7, which says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Brazilian Influencer Jessica Daugirdas Was Hospitalized With Sepsis the Week Before Her Death

The week before her family announced her death, the sister of Daugirdas shared that the social media star had been admitted to the hospital.

People translated the message by her sister Gabi. They say Gabi wrote that Daugirdas was in the intensive care unit due to “a serious case of sepsis.”

“She continues to receive treatment, is being well cared for by the medical team, and is closely monitored by her family. She’s on many medications, which leaves her quite unwell, so she hasn’t been able to use her phone,” People says Gabi continued.

Back in July, Daugirdas shared photos from another hospital admission. She was seen lying in a bed and smiling as she drenched herself in the sun beaming in from her window. Instagram’s translate tool says she captioned that post, “After such difficult days, a ray of sunshine enters the room and also into the heart. Pain is giving room for hope. One step at a time… It will come to pass.”

According to Instagram’s translate tool, she wrote, “Today is a special day to celebrate strength, courage, and rebirth. Being ostomized isn’t a limit – it’s a new chance. My purse saved my life, and for that I am deeply grateful.

I’ve experienced fears, pain and uncertainties, but I’ve also discovered a strength I didn’t even know I had. Ostomy has allowed me to continue living, smiling, hugging, loving…. and being myself, even more truthful.”
