Where You Can Watch Every Academy Awards 2026 Best Picture Film

The 98th Academy Awards nominations are in, including the 10 films that are being considered for the prestigious Best Picture award. Among the nominations are several movies that were expected, along with some notable surprises.

If you want to watch all of the films ahead of the ceremony on 15 March 2026, read on to find out where they are available to stream, rent, and purchase. 


‘Bugonia’

A remake of the earlier South Korean film “Save the Green Planet!,” “Bugonia” is a black comedy that features an all-star cast. The plot focuses on two conspiracy theories played by Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis, who kidnap Emma Stone’s character who they believe is an extraterrestrial. 

It is currently available to stream on Peacock with a standard subscription, while it can be purchased or rented on other digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.


‘Frankenstein’

The latest in a long line of “Frankenstein” movie adaptations, this installment is the product of director Guillermo del Toro. Oscar Isaac portrays the titular Victor Frankenstein while Jacob Elordi stars as the Creature. Along with the Best Picture nomination, it has also been put forward for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor.

A Netflix-funded project, the film is available to stream directly on Netflix.


‘F1’

Also known as “F1: The Movie,” this is a rare example of a racing film that proved to be a critical and commercial success. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, it stars Brad Pitt in the role of a retired driver who comes back to.race for an underdog team. Produced through a close collaboration with many of those involved in the sport, including Lewis Hamilton, it was intended to be the most authentic film about Formula 1 that has ever been released.

A joint production between Warner Bros. and Apple Original Films, “F1” can be streamed on Apple TV or purchased across a range of digital stores. 


‘Hamnet’

Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal make up the main cast of this biographical film. It focuses on the life of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes Hathaway as they try to recover following the death of their young son. Winning critical acclaim, it has already earned a wide array of accolades.

Hamnet” is still in its theatrical run, having released on 26 November 2025, meaning that you can watch it by heading to your local cinema. 


‘Marty Supreme’

Already the most successful A24 release in terms of box office gross, “Marty Supreme” is the Timothée Chalamet-led sports drama. It charts the life of Marty Reisman in the 1950s as he tries to become one of the world’s best table tennis players.  

“Marty Supreme” is one of the more recent theatrical releases and only became available to watch in cinemas from Christmas Day. As of the time of writing, it is not able to be streamed, rented, or purchased. 


‘One Battle After Another’

The latest film from director Paul Thomas Anderson, “One Battle After Another” is a critically acclaimed film that stars Leonardo DiCaprio at the head of a cast that includes Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, and Regina Hall. Mixing political commentary with intense action sequences, alongside a healthy dose of dark humor, it has attracted plenty of nominations at the Academy Awards.

“One Battle After Another” is available to stream on HBO Max and can be purchased or rented on a variety of digital platforms. 


‘The Secret Agent’

“The Secret Agent” is a Brazilian neo-noir thriller from director Kleber Mendonça Filho. Set during the Brazilian military dictatorship that began during the 1960s and lasted up until the 1980s, it tells the story of a professor attempting to escape persecution. Starring Wagner Moura, the movie became the most successful film at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, winning numerous awards.

Currently, “The Secret Agent” is not on any streaming platforms, although it is expected to eventually make its way to Hulu. However, it can be pre-ordered for both rent and purchase on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.


‘Sentimental Value’

Norwegian film “Sentimental Value” won the Grand Prix award at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival alongside widespread critical acclaim. Directed by Joachim Trier, it features Renate Reinsve, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Elle Fanning, and Anders Danielsen Lie as part of the cast. The plot centers on a father who attempts to reconcile with his two adult daughters after returning to Norway.

While it cannot be streamed on any service as of the time of writing, “Sentimental Value” can be purchased and rented on most online platforms. 


‘Sinners’

“Creed” and “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler helms the supernatural horror film “Sinners.” It sees Michael B. Jordan takes on the role of a set of twin brothers in the 1930s who return to their hometown only to be confronted by vampires who have taken refuge in the local area. Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, and Wunmi Mosaku also have significant roles in the film.

You can stream “Sinners” directly on HBO Max with a standard subscription and it is also available for purchase and rent on the likes of Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. 


‘Train Dreams’

Clint Bentley both directed “Train Dreams” and co-wrote the screenplay with Greg Kwedar, which is based on the 2011 novel by Denis Johnson. Both Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones take on leading roles in the film that follows the life of Robert Grainier in the forests of the Pacific Northwest as he deals with personal tragedies at the turn of the 20th century. 

The film is exclusively streaming on Netflix.
