Fox began acting in the early 2000s, landing her first on-screen role in the direct-to-video 2001 romantic adventure family movie “Holiday in the Sun.”

She is now best known for her appearances in movies like 2007’s “Transformers,” 2009’s “Jennifer’s Body,” and 2014’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

On the big screen, her apperances came in the 2001 direct-to-video film “Holiday in the Sun,” as an uncredited extra in the 2003 action comedy sequel “Bad Boys II,” and in the 2004 teen musical comedy flick “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.”

On the small screen, she landed a key role in the daytime soap opera “Ocean Ave.,” appeared in episodes of sitcoms “What I Like About You” and “Two and a Half Men,” three episodes of sitcom “The Help,” and the 2004 comedy television film “Crimes of Fashion.” She also embarked on her main role as Sydney Shanowski in the sitcom “Hope & Faith.”

In the late 2000s, Fox’s career really exploded, as she added several major movies to her filmography.

In 2007, she played Mikaela Banes in the sci-fi action blockbuster “Transformers.” Her 2008 credits were the comedy movie “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People” and drama movie “Whore.” 2009 saw her reprise her role as Banes in the sci-fi action sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and appear in the feminist cult classic comedy horror “Jennifer’s Body.”

On television, she continued her role on “Hope & Faith” until 2006, but her only other small screen appearance came when she hosted a 2009 episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Fox added both movie and television credits to her repertoire in the early 2010s.

Movie-wise, in 2010, she starred in the Western superhero offering “Jonah Hex” and the drama flick “Passion Play.” In 2011, she appeared in the rom-com “Friends with Kids.” 2012 saw her cameo as herself in the satirical black comedy movie “The Dictator” and appear in the romantic comedy-drama “This Is 40.” Her next movie role came in 2014, when she played April O’Neil for the first time in superhero romp “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

On television, she voiced DC character Lois Lane in “Robot Chicken” and “Robot Chicken DC Comics Special,” and she appeared in an episode of comedy-drama series “Wedding Band.”


The Mid-Late 2010s

The mid-late 2010s was also an important time for Fox’s on-screen career.

In 2016, she reprised her role as April O’Neil in the superhero sequel “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.” The other three movies she appeared in during this period were all in 2019. They were the supernatural romance “Above the Shadows,” comedy-drama movie “Zeroville,” and war movie “The Battle of Jangsari.”

Her small screen roles came when she played Reagan Lucas in 15 episodes of sitcom “New Girl” and when she hosted her own docuseries, “Legends of the Lost with Megan Fox.”

In the early 2020s, Fox appeared in many movies, while only appearing once on television.

The two movies in which she appeared in 2020 were the sci-fi comedy “Think Like a Dog” and action thriller “Rogue.” In 2021, Fox appeared in thriller movie “Till Death,” crime thriller “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” and vampire movie “Night Teeth.” 2022 saw her appear in the black comedy “Big Gold Brick,” drama film “Taurus,” and stoner comedy “Good Mourning.” In 2023, she appeared in the horror-heist movie “Johnny & Clyde” and action sequel “Expend4bles.” Her only movie credit in 2024 was the sci-fi thriller “Subservience.”

Her one television credit came when she appeared as herself in an episode of sitcom “Dave.”


Megan Fox Today
