Nancy Guthrie Update: Suspect Likely a ‘Sociopath’, Expert Says

A body language expert analyzes the recently released security footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home, offering insights on the possible suspect in her abduction.

Human behavior investigator Susan Constantine told Fox10 that the grainy video of the masked man could be the key to solving the case.

“He has a long torso. He’s shorter in the leg area, and then his clothes are very identifiable — the gloves, the jacket, the style, the fit,” Constantine explained.

The expert said she can tell a lot about the man in the footage based on his height, weight, facial structure, and even his movements.

“Your spouse or your partner would know you from behind just because of the way you carry yourself. It’s the same thing,” Constantine added.

Body Language Expert Thinks Nancy Guthrie Abductor is a ‘Sociopath’

Constantine noted that the man in the video is likely a “sociopath,” adding that he’s likely familiar with the property.

“So the fact that he showed like zero emotion even not even a thing of an eyebrow or tensing of the lip, because you would assume that that would create some sort of anxiety or attention, that he’s about ready to enter into this house completely flat line, so what does that tell me? This guy is a sociopath,” the body language expert explained.

Constantine continued, “It’s body language DNA. It’s evidence. The body of evidence so that doesn’t change and that’s how we catch people.”

Authorities released the footage on Tuesday in hopes that someone in the public might recognize the individual’s build, clothing, or other distinguishing details.

FBI Increases Reward

Meanwhile, the FBI has released a description of the suspect in the Nancy Guthrie case. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9″ to 5’10” tall, with an average build. It is also noted that he is wearing a black, 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack in the video.

“We hope this updated description will help concentrate the public tips we are receiving,” the FBI said in a statement. “Since February 1, 2026, the FBI has collected over 13,000 tips from the public related to this case.”

On Thursday, the FBI increased its reward up to $100,000 for information leading to Nancy’s location or anyone involved in her disappearance.

The search for Nancy Guthrie has now entered its second week, with authorities still working to identify a suspect.
