Nancy Guthrie Disappearance: New Details Emerge From Her Final Uber Ride

Nancy Guthrie was last seen the evening of January 31 during a family dinner hosted by her daughter, Annie Guthrie. While she was dropped off at her Tucson, Arizona, home by son-in-law Tommaso Cioni after the celebratory gathering, it was reported that the 84-year-old used an Uber to arrive at Annie’s home that evening.

Now, more than seven weeks after her disappearance, new details have emerged regarding that final Uber ride.

New Details About Nancy Guthrie’s Final Uber Ride

Investigative reporter Dave Mack sat down with Nancy Grace for the Monday, March 16, episode of her “Crime Stories With Nancy Grace” podcast where they discussed Guthrie’s Uber ride.

Guthrie was picked up from her home by an Uber driver at 5:32 p.m., according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos.

“[Investigators] found out everything that was said inside the vehicle because the Uber driver turned over all the video,” Mack told Grace. “Everything that was taking place inside the vehicle between Nancy Guthrie and the driver. All recorded, all captured on video, and all in the hands of law enforcement.”

Scott Eicher, a founding member of the FBI’s cellular analysis survey team, joined the conversation to dive deeper into what investigators may have found on the video from inside the Uber.

“The video from the Uber driver, which in this case is just from picking her up at the house and taking her over to Annie’s house for game night,” Eicher began. “It appears that is not going to be really related to the to the crime itself, [we] might not get anything great from the videos. But if you think about it, the things you can see is, you know, how was Nancy talking at that point in time? Was she coherent? Was she walking fine? Uh what was she dressed in? You know, the clothes that she had on at the time of going over to Annie’s.”

According to Eicher, Nancy’s attire could be relevant because investigators would be able to determine if that outfit was found inside her home after her abduction.

“Are those clothes still there? Was she still dressed when she was taken?” he questioned. “Are those clothes missing or was she, you know, in a night gown and in her pajamas for that night?”

Investigators Ask For Help From the Public

The FBI, along with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, is asking the public for help identifying the masked, armed man seen in footage obtained from Guthrie’s doorbell camera on the night she was abducted.

“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack,” the FBI shared via X.

  1. This is just horrible, it’s not even sad anymore. I can’t imagine my mom or my grandma being held by somebody and doing nothing to give us a chance to get her back. This is just this is cruelty. I hope these people rot in hell.!

  2. After reading all those story about Nancy being kidnapped..I think for starter they definitely need to do a lied detector test on the son of law and her daughter and the uber driver.and all this people coming back and forward like pool cleaning ppl. The ppl that service inside of her house still even though they know she missing so why does all this ppl keep coming back for service when she not there..between all this ppl somebody knows something about what happened 🤔 put them all under a lied detector test.that should determine what happened 🤔..this is a damn shame that this poor Nancy been put through…I think if they had swat team there from beginning this would been over by now. ..and now you don’t hear nobody’s asking for no more money aint that strange…for start check out son -n‐law and his wife..it had to be some one that knew her well to know she had pacemaker 🤔…
