‘Borat 2’ Star Rudy Giuliani Health Update as He Remains in Critical Condition

Rudy Giuliani is currently hospitalized and remains in critical condition, according to a statement released by his spokesperson.

On Sunday, May 3, spokesman Ted Goodman shared an update on social media confirming that the former New York City mayor, 81, is receiving medical care.

While the situation is serious, Goodman noted that Giuliani’s condition is stable.

“Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition,” the statement read. “Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he’s fighting with that same level of strength as we speak.”

The message also included a call for public support during this time. “We do ask that you join us in prayer for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani,” Goodman added.

He is currently in a Florida medical center.

The Information on His Condition Is Limited

At this time, no specific details have been released regarding what led to Giuliani’s hospitalization. The lack of clarity has left many watching closely for further updates as his condition develops.

Just days before the announcement, Giuliani appeared on his X (formerly Twitter) program, “America’s Mayor Live,” where he hinted that he was not feeling his best, according to CNN.

During the Friday broadcast, he told viewers that his “voice is a little under the weather, so I won’t be able to speak as loudly as I usually do.”

He was also seen coughing several times throughout the stream.

His recent on-air appearances had already become somewhat inconsistent in recent weeks.

While he maintained a regular Monday-through-Friday schedule as recently as March, he reportedly missed multiple episodes throughout April.

The most recent installment of “The Rudy Giuliani Show,” aired earlier in the week.

Giuliani Was in a Serious Car Accident in 2025

This is not the first time Giuliani has faced health-related challenges in recent years.

In August 2025, he was seriously injured in a car accident in New Hampshire after stopping to assist a woman in distress.

According to a statement from his head of security, Giuliani had pulled over to help a domestic violence victim and contacted emergency services.

After ensuring her safety, his vehicle was later struck from behind at high speed while he was traveling on the highway.

The crash left him with multiple injuries, including a fractured thoracic vertebrae, as well as lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his arm and leg.

He was transported to a nearby trauma center, where he received treatment for those injuries.

Despite past setbacks, Giuliani has remained active in media and political commentary, continuing to host his shows and engage with audiences online.

As of now, his team has not shared additional medical details or a timeline for recovery.

Supporters and observers alike are awaiting further updates while hoping for positive news in the days ahead.

For now, the focus remains on his condition—and whether the longtime public figure can once again recover from a serious health challenge.

We will continue to update this article as details emerge.
