Tiger Woods was pictured standing beside the road and using a cell phone immediately following the scary road accident on March 27 in which his vehicle rolled over. The athlete’s expression was hard to read from beneath his shades, but he looked somewhat rattled and concerned as he placed a hand on his hip while holding his phone to his ear.

The golf superstar stood in the grass beside a fire hydrant as his black Range Rover was seen lying on its side.

Judging by the photos of Tiger walking around, and the fact that ABC 25 says he’s been taken to jail as of Friday evening, it does not appear the 50-year-old suffered any obvious serious injuries.

ABC reports Tiger was driving on Jupiter Island, Florida around 2 p.m. when he struck the back of a trailer, causing his Land Rover to roll over, per the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

“As he was trying to move to the side of the road, the Land Rover overtook him at the last minute, swerved to avoid a collision, but clipped the back end of the trailer of the pressure cleaner apparatus,” the report quotes officials as saying at a news conference.

Police Were Seen at Scene of Tiger Woods’ Crash

A photo from Fox News showed a Jupiter Island police car on the scene of the accident, as well as several emergency responders. The angle showed officials gathered at the back end of the flipped car. The incident happened near 281 Beach Road, per the sheriff’s office.

The Fox report reminded fans that Donald Trump recently announced Tiger told him he plans to stay out of the upcoming Masters Tournament, which begins April 9.

People says Martin County Sheriff John M. Budensiek revealed that neither Woods nor the driver he hit seemed hurt, saying, “Mr. Woods did not appear to be injured at all, and the other individual was not injured. The report goes on to say the sheriff confirmed Woods was alone in his vehicle during the accident, and described his appearance as “lethargic” after her reportedly crawled out of his vehicle.

Tiger Woods Suffered a Much More Serious Crash Back in 2021

Tiger is beginning to look like a cat with nine lives after surviving numerous accidents on the road. Most notable of those was a 2021 crash that took place in Los Angeles, seriously injuring the golf legend and threatening to end his career.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement at the time saying, “On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Tiger Woods was involved in a traffic collision on Hawthorne Blvd., in Rancho Palos Verdes. According to the vehicle’s event data recorder, estimated speeds at the first area of impact were 84 to 87 mph and when the vehicle made a final impact on a tree the speed was 75 mph.”

They added, “Captain Powers reiterated that there was no evidence of impairment, no odor of alcohol, no open containers in the vehicle, no narcotics or evidence of medication on the vehicle or in his person. Also, due to the traumatic nature of his injuries, it would have been inappropriate to administer a sobriety test.”
