The Euphoria star is deep in the press run for her upcoming A24 film The Drama, but it’s her real-life love story with Tom Holland that keeps stealing the spotlight. In a new interview with French outlet Views, published March 25, Zendaya opened up about what she believes makes a perfect union — and her answer is turning heads. This comes just weeks after she addressed the viral wedding rumors on Jimmy Kimmel Live, keeping fans hanging on her every word. What she said next, though, might be the most telling thing yet.
What Zendaya Says Makes a Perfect Marriage
GettyWhen asked by Views what her idea of a perfect marriage looks like, Zendaya didn’t hesitate — even if she prefaced it with a little self-deprecation.
“Oh, I don’t know if there’s any such thing as a perfect marriage, but I’d say like people who, I don’t know, this is a corny answer, seem like best friends,” she told the outlet. “I think it’s always nice to see two people that, I don’t know, really like each other, as well as love each other.”
It’s a simple answer on the surface. But given that Zendaya has referred to Holland as “one of my best friends” since they first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming back in 2017, the timing of that quote landed like a wink to the entire internet.
The two are set to appear together again in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, hitting theaters July 17, 2026. But right now, all eyes are on The Drama — and on Zendaya’s left hand.
The Rumors That Won’t Quit

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Roach said plainly, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.” When pressed, he doubled down: “It’s very true!”
Neither Zendaya nor Holland has officially confirmed or denied the claim. But the clues have kept coming. Zendaya was spotted wearing a simple gold band on her ring finger at Paris Fashion Week on March 10, replacing the 5.02-carat diamond engagement ring fans had grown familiar with. Her mother, Claire Stoermer, added fuel to the fire by reposting Roach’s clip on Instagram Stories with just the caption, “The laugh…”
On Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 16, Zendaya played it cool — joking she hadn’t “seen any of that” when Kimmel brought up the rumors. She did, however, confirm she’s been fielding reactions in real life to the AI-generated wedding photos circulating online. “Many people have been fooled by them,” she said. “People are like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous,’ and I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real.'”
Then at the Paris premiere of The Drama, co-star Robert Pattinson was asked for his best wedding advice — and grinned at Zendaya, saying his secret was “the same one that you have.”
With The Drama hitting theaters April 3, the press tour is only ramping up. And if history is any guide, Zendaya will keep the world guessing right up until the credits roll.
