‘Real Housewives’ Star Reveals the State of Her Marriage

Stacey Rusch joined “The Real Housewives of Potomac” for the show’s 9th season in early 2025. Now, the series is back for its 10th season, and so is she. Recently, she sat down for an interview, where she discussed reconciling with her ex-husband, her former love interest, and other topics.

Rusch spoke to Entertainment Weekly’s Brice Sander about the new season of “The Real Housewives of Potomac.” One of the most notable topics discussed during the interview was her experience of reconnecting with her husband after filing for divorce. As fans know, he appeared in the first episode of the season.

Rusch said, “I know it was a shock to the girls to hear that I was reuniting my family and talking about getting back with my husband.” She continued, “It’s a beautiful thing. A wonderful thing. I’ve been married for almost 17 years, and I am not the first woman to circle the block.”

The RHOP star went on, “But I think it’ll be interesting to see how that works, but I did, in fact, get a divorce.” She added, “But in terms of where my heart is, I think it’ll be really interesting to see how divorced I’ll be at the end of the season.”

Rusch Also Defended Her Character Following the ‘RHOP’ Premiere

One of the sticking points from the “Real Housewives of Potomac” premiere involved Ashley Darby and Gizelle Bryant claiming that TJ, a former love interest of Rusch’s, was suing her. When asked about this, she said, “Again, where is it? I’ll wait.”

Rusch continued, “I can’t worry about disproving things that I know aren’t true.” From there, she was asked if she regretted bringing TJ around the group. She said, “I think that we are here for one life on this planet, and you learn lessons from people and experiences, and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Regarding TJ, fans will recall that he alleged during the RHOP season 9 reunion that Rusch agreed to pay him to appear on the show as her love interest. He also claimed that she neglected to pay him.

She’s Not the Only ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Being Transparent About Her Marriage

Rusch was in the hot seat for much of the “Real Housewives of Potomac” premiere. However, she’s not the only cast member to experience life changes. Darby has experienced the same. She confirmed her separation from Michael Darby in 2022.

According to PEOPLE, they finalized their divorce in February 2025. Rusch and the rest of the RHOP cast attended a party to celebrate her new life in the season opener.

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” airs on Sunday nights.
