Kyle Richards shared photos of her late father, Kenneth Richards, in honor of his birthday. On October 9, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star made a series of heartwarming posts on in her Instagram story, including some adorable throwback photos of her and her family.
Richards’ Opens up About Relationship With Her Dad & Sisters
Though she doesn’t often discuss her late father, this isn’t the first time Richards has shared photos in celebration of his memory. In 2016, she made an Instagram post for Father’s Day that featured a photo of her and her father along with her sisters, “RHOBH” star Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton, mother of socialite Paris Hilton and fashion designer Nicky Hilton.
In 2017, Richards shared another Father’s Day post that gave insight into what kind of a father Kenneth was. Along with a childhood photo of Richards and her father on her birthday, she included a moving caption that read:
“One more pic of my Dad ❤️ I was my Dad’s 6th child. He was already a grandfather when I was born. He was a pro at being a Daddy”
Richards also shared the kind of poignant life lessons her father taught her in another post:
“My Dad Ken ❤️ so handsome and smart. Loved to cook and taught us how to. He also loved cars. He was the kind of Dad that would ask what we wanted to do and if we said “camping !” He would say “ok, come on , let’s go” no matter what we said he would drop everything and take us ❤️ #fathersday“
In 2018, Richards made another Instagram post celebrating her father on Veteran’s Day. She included a photo of a young Kenneth, who was a retired lieutenant colonel for the U.S. Army. She wrote in the caption:
“This is my Dad …Ken Richards He served our country …Thank you to ALL who have served our country. The land of the free BECAUSE of the brave 🇺🇸 #veteransday“
Richards on Her Father: ‘Our Dad was the best’
On October 9, Richards shared four posts on her Instagram story, each with a different photo of her father with sweet captions. In one photo, Richards is smiling with her father’s arms wrapped around her. She wrote, “happy birthday to my dad in heaven.” A pink heart emoji was included at the end.
She posted another photo with her father, her sister Kim, and a woman who appears to be their mother, as they huddle together in a swimming pool. She also tagged their older sister Kathy, and captioned the photo, “our Dad was the best,” with a red heart emoji at the end.
Richards shared the same photo of her father from her previous Veteran’s Day post with the caption “so handsome.”
The last photo Richards posted was another one we’ve seen before, featuring her and her father posing in front of a birthday cake. The caption read, “miss him so much.”
